This accommodation blew everything out of the Sri Lanka waters. Truly amazing hospitality during our stay. Passionate Manager Umberto didn’t just host us—he really brought his soul into the experience, and we felt it every step of the way. It’s the little touches that made it so special: the warm and attentive staff (i.e. Nif and Pathum),the delicious bites with our apero, the magical evening lighting, the beautiful art around the property, the fresh melon on the beach, the water service by the pool and beach…best of Italian 🇮🇹 cuisine (cooked by Umberto himself) and so much more. Every detail was thought through with care, and it showed. Truly unforgettable, and we’re already dreaming of coming back.

Situated in Kalkudah, Sun Siyam Pasikudah offers peaceful and comfortable accommodation with free WiFi access. The resort is an oasis of calm. It gave my wife and I the space to relax and enjoy each other. The staff especially Arshed the general manager and Farhan went way above and beyond to make our stay so special. They arranged snorkeling and an elephant safari, we also have some dietary requirements that they catered to without missing a beat. Truly a wonderful experience.

The hotel, perfectly located right by the sea, is simply stunning — a beautiful harmony of nature, comfort, and traditional architecture. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional quality of the service. The staff were attentive, always smiling, and showed genuine hospitality throughout. There are plenty of activities for all interests, and the food truly won us over. A special thank-you to the chef and his team for their creativity: delicious, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine with a refined and modern twist. We’ll always remember their signature crab dish… and the amazing passion fruit sorbet. A heartfelt thank-you to Janaka, Chamara, Thasneem , Pethum, Ruchira, Eranda, Kavindu … and the entire team for your warm welcome and kindness. You made our stay a truly special moment!

We were quite concerned on the way there because the trip was through some interesting but desolate terrain. What a great surprise. The property is beautiful and the staff and service were superb. The food was good too.

This place is twice as nice as the Ubay Homestay I stayed at in Trincomalee for which I paid much more - $30 per night. What's better about it, besides the lower price, is: More spacious, more modern room Fewer bugs (really hardly any) Larger, less smelly bathroom Much quieter setting. Instead of being in the middle of a bunch of other places, including a loud hostel next door, as Ubay was, this place is in a wide open, peaceful setting, the only close neighbor a church. Better breakfast at the same price - 1300 Free, filtered water A larger staff, very attentive, but unobtrusive, only there when you need them The two beaches nearby are quieter and less crowded Much thanks to Usha, the owner's wife, who speaks excellent English. She welcomed me graciously with fresh coconut water and gave me another one when I left.

His house is in a quiet chill part of Batticaloa, between the ocean and the lake, so beautiful. So lucky to have stayed there.
