The surroundings were equally stunning: a beautiful beach just a short walk away, breathtaking landscapes, and the charming little village of Atashika, which felt like a hidden gem. If you’re looking for a place that offers stunning nature, a peaceful atmosphere, and warm-hearted hosts who truly care about their guests, this is the perfect choice. We are already looking forward to coming back one day!

The location was amazing. We loved the peace and the view from the fishing port (1min's walk). The host was very responsive and provided plenty of instructions so the check in process was smooth sailing.

Location in Kumano is good, there is the connection with the village through the breathtaking onigajō cliffs and also a walking tunnel. We also did a day trip by car to Nachi from here. There was also a little foldable table in the room to have tea and food.

Boasting open-air hot spring baths and ocean views from all rooms, Toba Grand hotel is located a 5-minue drive from JR/Kintetsu Toba Train Station. We had a very spacious room with a beautiful ocean view. We especially enjoyed the complimentary beverage service. The staff was very helpful. Food was very good, but did not offer much in variety if staying multiple days. It's a little out of the way, but there is shuttle service available to Toba Station if you wish to venture off and do some sightseeing. Just be sure to leave and return between the shuttle service hours.
