Beautiful property facing the backwaters. Loved having a little screened in porch with views to the backwaters. Lalu and Vishnu were super kind and helpful and Shiji’s breakfasts were delicious! I also appreciated the complimentary bicycle use or the scooter rental since the property doesn’t have a restaurant offering lunch and dinner, so you have to go a couple kilometers to the main part of town which has restaurants. It’s nice that it is a little secluded. Very quiet.

Such a peaceful quiet retreat overlooking the lake and just a tiny pathway from beach. The staff and owners went above and beyond. I was famished when I arrived after 4 hour drive and they immediately made sure I ate something. Resume and Minu were so good. The cook was a sweet lady too ensuring I had enough vegetarian options for breakfast. Shari and her husband were so kind. Property is so quaint and relaxing. Massage was really good too.

Sanjeev and the sons, Vishnu and is brother are the best hosts that we ever had....helpfull for every our needs,....the breakfast was very good. We usually got our breakfast in the common area, so you can meet a lot of people. I reccomand Sanjeev Home Stay for sure, we enjoyed so much. Thanks to Sanjeev, we definitely came back.

Breakfast was very good, tasted homemade! Every single staff was attentive, courteous, pleasant and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The facility was clean and well looked after! Anything we asked was provided with a smile on their faces!! Amazing experience!! Pool was also large and very clean and well kept. Sitting areas are also with great ambience!! Amazing and will visit again!!!

Lovely large clean room with spotless modern bathroom. Great sea view from the rooms large double window. Excellent AC and fan kept the room cool. The balcony was fantastic. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and huge quantities each day, served on the balcony. A different breakfast each day (dosa, apam,idli, hoppers, fruit, fresh juice, tea/coffee). Late afternoon tea and battered snacks provided each day. A useful shop downstairs. Over the road, then over a few rocks, it is possible to swim just 50m from the room - fantastic! The main beach is about a km up the road but I was happy with nipping over the wall. Very friendly and kind people running the place. Laxmi speaks excellent English.

Menawarkan pemandangan taman, Dove cottage mempunyai penginapan dengan teres dan balkoni, kira-kira 32km dari Limbungan Kapal Cochin. We spent a total of four nights at Dove Cottage. We extended our stay after three nights because we loved it so much. Right at the beginning we can say that if you are looking for accommodation in Cherai Beach, look no further, choose this one because it is just so incredibly good. We were greeted warmly, even though we forgot to let them know that we were arriving early. While we were waiting for our room to be ready, we were given a small snack and were able to freshen up in another room. In addition to our stay, our host Manuvel made sure that we were provided with a scooter for a very fair price. The breakfast was varied, plentiful and very, very tasty. It was a different Indian breakfast every day, which was served warm as soon as we came out of the room. We could choose between coffee or tea, both of which were excellent. Our stay was made so pleasant by Manuvel and his family that we are incredibly grateful to have stayed here. They were so nice, gave us so much information and helped us with everything we needed. They brought us fruit shakes during the day, helped us with our laundry, took us to the tailor and of course, as already mentioned, organised the scooter. It couldn't have been better. The whole family were always attentive and helped immediately, but were never intrusive or restrictive. The rooms were extremely clean and are very modern and newly furnished. Of all the six accommodations we had here in Kerala, it was the best and not even the most expensive. Apart from that, we found the location very good. The restaurants (e.g. Chillout Café, Liliput) are a bit away but it is quite quiet and nothing disturbs you at Dove Cottage. Highly recommended and maybe we'll see each other again in Germany :)

This place was a wonderful find - the ocean is right across the road and is a lullaby to send you to sleep - gorgeous. Plenty of beaches nearby. The hosts don’t speak much English but their daughter does and communicates via What’s App - it’s brilliant. Food is so tasty and plenty of it. The kindness of the hosts is amazing and I loved my stay here. I had the room with the balcony sea view - wonderful

I loved absolutely everything about the experience. The service was exceptional, Both Hosts and People working at the Vala House are super kind and going their way and beyond to accomodate the needs of the guests. The place is located in beautiful place, with the view on backwaters, very clean and the food is truly amazing. Whenever we had any issue with transport or anything, they helped us to solve them immediately. Beautiful place to regenerate and enjoy the nature.
