It is situated close to the beach & restaurant area, & the property itself has a big common area & a beautiful outside area to meet & hang out with staff & other travelers. what makes this place unique, however, is the people who run it - they are so friendly, welcoming, & really care about you. If you are thinking of coming to varkala, then “Hostel Stories” is where you want to stay at for the good vibes!

Shaan is a great host and helped us out with booking day trips and giving us excellent local tips on where to eat and what to see. The breakfast was delicious and varied! Shaan was also very accommodating to our vegan dietary requirements, which was really thoughtful. Highly recommend this place as a base to explore Fort Kochi and the surroundings.

This homestay is so well decorated, well located in Fort Kochi. Sheethal and her daughter are so sweet and welcoming, I felt at home from the first minute. The place is very clean, calm. I would definitely come back!

Helped me book day trips and train tickets and was always at the end of the phone if I needed anything. Arranged pick up from the airport for additional cost. Driver was there waiting for me when I landed. Room is small but just what I needed for my stay. Also had a balcony. AC was good. Sheets and towels were clean, and a hot shower after a day of exploring.
