King Coco is truly a lovely guesthouse, its really clean, they have everything you would need and they pay lots of attention to even the smallest of details. Its super modern, you have a kitchen area/fridge/iron etc. I could easily stay at this place for a very long time. And I haven't mentioned the wonderful family yet, such lovely people. And finally the breakfast. Wow, 10/10 👌 each and every day I was blown away by the amazing breakfast, massive portions and such variety. My stay at King Coco was perfect and I will for sure return again in the future.

The owner was really helpful and easy to get in contact with. The room was nice and clean and had a lovely balcony with a nice view. It was within a short walking distance to Hiriketiya beach and nearby a smaller, more unknown beach called blue beach. To explain how much we liked it, I can tell that we chose to rearrange our trip, so we could come back and spend another week at this place. Really really good value for money and nicest staff. Would 10/10 recommend!

I like the attention to details, everything in the apartments are fresh and new, and of course the view from the bedroom indeed is top:) Btw nice restaurant nearby, can also order food for a good price, very comfy to stay here.

I had the absolute best time in Hiriketiya thanks to Charitha and his family! I was supposed to stay for 5 days, but I ended up extending to 3 weeks — and honestly, I would’ve stayed even longer if I could have. Charitha goes above and beyond to make sure his guests are comfortable and happy. He often organizes meals, snacks, and drinks (his wife is an amazing cook!). He’s super responsive on WhatsApp if you have any questions or concerns, and he’s always genuinely happy to help. He is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and a true example of Sri Lankan hospitality. The facilities themselves were excellent — I have no complaints at all. The location is also perfect: surrounded by restaurants, cafés, and boutiques, and just a couple of minutes from the beach. I would go back in a heartbeat. Do yourself a favor and book your next stay with them!

Amazing Experience! I spent 7 fantastic days at Thusar’s place with his family, and as a solo traveler, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. They welcomed me with great hospitality, making me feel like part of their family from day one. I spent a lot of time with them, exploring the surrounding areas and discovering not only the most famous spots but also hidden, non-touristy places for a truly authentic experience. The apartment is spacious, very clean, and well-lit, with all the necessary amenities and a well-equipped kitchen. The location is perfect: very close to the largest Buddha statue in Sri Lanka, yet far enough from the city chaos to enjoy some peace. An unexpected bonus? There’s a super friendly barber right downstairs! It’s also very easy to reach by bus and train, thanks to the new station in Wewurukannala. I highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to explore Sri Lanka in a genuine way. Thank you again, Thusar!

    Perfect hotel, perfect location on a cliff above the ocean. The pool is huge. The food is very varied and delicious. The beach below the hotel is good for kids, natural pools form the rocks and sea turtles come there. The entertainment man named Ajantha kept the kids busy with pool games and was very kind.

    Very nice and quiet place run by a French family with a very welcoming local staff. 3 rooms only decorated with style and where you feel at home. Nice small pool on the (as if private ;)) beach and terrasse upstairs to enjoy amazing breakfast looking at ocean waves. Just 5 minutes away : Turtle point, walking on the beach and Hiriketyia, with Tuktuk, to enjoy swimming, surfing and chilling in nice restaurants. We do recommend !

    The property was beautiful, the rooms very cozy, the beach is amazing and the dogs are very welcoming too. All the staff is very kind and always ready to help us with anything we would need. Had the chance to try a surf lesson with Tharu, which was a really nice experience as well. Got to use the shala with a beautiful view to the ocean as well, it was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and advice everyone to go too! Looking forward to go during high season!

    This hotel is right on the beach and in a perfect location for swimming, walking on the beach and trying different restaurants etc. The customer service was excellent and the food was delicious. The menu was a little limited but we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast each morning. Staff were very helpful and suggested many things for us to do!

    Right on the beach with the most incredible sunsets. You can also swim in the sea so no problems on not having a pool. Staff super helpful, great bar man for drinks. Powerful shower and comfortable bed

    Located right on the beach. Beach view from the room. I was able to park the TukTuk right in front of the room door. Secure territory fenced. Breakfast is served on the terrace of the room. You can walk along the beach where there are many places to eat.
