Amehelia Luxury resort is simply paradise. The 8 bungalow resort is set on a beautiful beach but also has the option of a fabulous swimming pool. The rooms are very well appointed and decorated, extremely comfortable and very well serviced. The food is exceptional and extremely well priced, the calamari is the most tender I have ever eaten and the Indian Curry is so, so delicious but these are just two of many other fabulous dishes on the menu. It is, however, the outstanding staff who made our holiday so memorable. They were so attentive, good humored, kind and thoughtful that we really felt we had met our Lombok family. We cannot wait to go back to visit them again in their little paradise we now consider our new Indonesian holiday home. A special mention to Firman, the ever watchful and attentive manager who goes above and beyond to ensure everything you may need is well catered for- his staff love and respect him which says it all. The island is situated at the bottom Lombok Island so it is a two hour car transfer from the airport ( a great opportunity to see Lombok itself) and then a very short boat ride to the resort. Firman will arrange all of this for you making your journey start as soon as you get off the plane. They can also arrange transfers from the fast boat from Bali. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Alam Karang features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Gili Gede. Located around a few steps from Gili Gede Beach, the hotel with free WiFi is also 50 km away from Meru Temple.

For us this was the perfect place. We arrived at Lombok airport late one afternoon, and the car and boat transfers booked through the accommodation were efficient and nice. We arrived late, when the restaurant was about to close, but were offered both food and drinks. The bungalow is right on the beach. It has a simple standard but is clean and airy. The breakfast was delicious, homemade bread and homemade towels as well as a number of other choices. Lunch and dinner also tasted very good. The snorkeling from the beach was absolutely great. At a distance of less than 200m we saw blue coral, anemone fish, lionfish and turtle. Not to mention the snorkeling trip with Marie. Absolutely fantastic. She was warm and sociable and did everything to ensure that everyone had a good experience. It was inspiring to see the joy she had and the effort she put into meeting all visitors. We hope that we will have the opportunity to come back on a later occasion (stayed in room 5, 3 nights July 2025)

The High Dive is run by Nigel and Lisa - wonderful people that will do everything to make you feel at home. It is perfectly located in the south of the island and has a reef that can be explored right in front. The owners are very helpful in any way (organisation of diving, snorkeling, sailing etc) and put strong emphasis on running the hotel in an ecofirendly way. As such litter is being collected and all thrash is brought back to the mainland. The staff as well is amazing. We will definitely come back.

This place is so lovely and so secluded. It took a long journey to reach here but it was worth it. Astam their staff are so friendly and helpful. We requested them to bring us around with motorbike with a fee and they were great! My kids love the ride. Beach is nice but reef is dead and do get quite a lot of rubbish. Regardless it was nice and loved the free kayaking and calm sea.

Wonderful stay at Gili Asahan Eco Lodge. The place is amazing, with direct access to the beach and a nice snorkeling spot Kayak and SUP are provided to guests We visited 3 wonderful snorkeling spots with a small fishing boat, that was a nice experience Beautiful sunsets Excellent restaurant with indonesian and european (italian) food

Fantastic location. Snorkeling from in front of the resort. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Sustainability of the resort with solar power energy. Marine life conservation work done in the local area. Lots of coral and a diversity of marine wildlife. 100% coming again. December is a wonderful month to come.
