The kitchen is simple but has everything you need to feel at home and be able to cook if you wish. There are places nearby to buy supplies if you do want to cook for yourself. And a comedor just across the road. The owners are lovely and very open to making suggestions. The garden is open and relaxing. There were kids and chickens nearby and not at all an issue for us. We walked a lot to see the lake and a nearby chocolate factory.

Hector is an extremely kind host, and the food right across the street is incredible. We stayed in July and Playa Santa Cruz was really quiet and a great place to be.

We had some issues with a flat tyre after checkout and they assisted us to get it fixed in time to make our ferry. The breakfast was delicious and the pool was huge and a great temperature. The grounds were lovely and we saw lots of howler monkeys, squirrels and birds every morning. The cabin was comfortable with air con in each room. We had a couple of maintenance issues but the staff came to fix immediately.
