3 km from Negra, Plaza Tucanito is a recently renovated property situated in Cahuita and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. There is a private entrance at the aparthotel for the convenience of those who stay. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Beautiful property and grounds, fully equipped kitchen, comfy bed, clean bathroom, air conditioning (big plus for someone who sleep in cool temp), awesome swimming pool all by ourselves, warm and personable hosts (Fabiola, Markus and David are super friendly and helpful)! The location cannot be better! It is quiet, safe yet just a short drive to the beaches, restaurants and Cahuita National Park. We took the great advice from other travelers to stay in Cahuita area rather than Puerto Viejo!! There are great restaurant options in Puerto Viejo but too busy and run down for our liking. We love our stay at Plaza Tucanito where allow us to explore beautiful beaches nearby and plenty of dining options in Cahuita town. Cahuita National Park is definitely a must visit! We went in the morning and saw tons of wildlife and enjoyed the calm and beautiful Playa Blanca! We also enjoyed Playa Grande en Cahuita : )

At the aparthotel, each unit has bed linen and towels. Selva Madre Eco-Sanctuary is a real oasis of peace just a few km out from the main road and reachable by a very good path (good to know when driving in Costa Rica). Mary is a beautiful kind person, a great yoga teacher and also a good chef as she cooked us an amazing dinner and breakfast in the jungle; she made our staying a unique experience.

The aparthotel features 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, bed linen, towels, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a terrace with garden views. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. The perfect place to stay in Cahuita. Anett already provided lots of valuable support during the planning stage of our trip and made organizing easy for us. It was a pleasure to stay in her well-equipped garden apartment, where she was highly attentive to her guests' needs and always ready to help. A big thank you to Anett and her husband for their hospitality and for making our stay in Cahuita so enjoyable (including listening to distant howler monkey sounds in the early morning)!
