Dietrichsteinerhof Apartments & Rooms also features a bath house, a sun deck, a wooden pier, and a sunbathing lawn. All fine in rooms. Very comfortable and clean. The lake is over 2 km. The pizza restaurant is next to the house.

The Waldschlössl in the centre of Latschach ober dem Faakersee, is a 5-minute drive away from the lake and a 10-minute bus ride from 3 ski areas. Close to border with Italy ,in middle of the mountain, appartment was clean ,beds were comfortable, nice personal, big parking place.

Nothing has changed over decades and we thoroughly enjoyed this. Frau Wochniz is an absolute treasure - attentive and kind. We were the season’s first guests and enjoyed having the house and garden to ourselves. The garden leads to the Faaker See and the private jetty. Too cold for us for a swim but lovely to sit there and watch the sunset. Breakfast was more than adequate and the coffee … real, drinkable coffee! The property is in a great location for asst trips too such as to Lake Bled and Villacher Alpenstrasse. Whilst not 5 star by today’s standards, 5 stars for evoking lakeside holidays from the past.
