Located along Macatumbalen Beach in San Vicente, the Sunset Beach Resort by RF at SanVicentePalawan OPC features an outdoor pool with views of the sea and sunset and offers complimentary WiFi access... I don't regularly write reviews due to limited time. But for this particular stay it is worth devoting my time and more. Together with my wife and 2 children we traveled all over Northern Palawan for over 2 weeks trying to stay in the best accommodations available. Luckily we booked 2 nights at the Sunset Beach resort as well. Its German owner is one of the happiest, kindest and most consistent people I have ever met. He has created a wonderful accommodation, in a privileged position on the island. Everything is spotlessly clean, the pool amazing and similarly clean, the food great and all the people working there kind and caring with smiles on their faces. What more could anyone ask for! Even in a small accident we had, he helped us like a brother. Roberto we will never forget you and thank you for everything. The gardens are amazing and this is outdoor living at it's best. You can purchase fresh produce from the many nearby shops and cook your own pure organic food back at your accommodation. There are amazing beaches just a walk away but I say you are better to rent a scooter to fully appreciate this amazing area.

The beautiful beach, practically devoid of people apart from the fishermen working in the morning, makes it even more fascinating to get to know the Filipino way of life. There are diving spots with turtles around and reef, and plankton can be observed at night (if it's dark enough). Long beach, so there's plenty of room for romantic, out-of-sight meetings. I really enjoyed it, it's a pity that only one night was planned. Very polite and friendly staff, with the owner himself cooking! A Filipino dinner and breakfast was prepared at our request - very tasty! The owner was happy to answer all our questions about life in the Philippines and helped us to make and adjust our itinerary, which worked out well.

It's a lovely and very peaceful place :) The rooms are clean and spacious enough with comfy beds and pillows. The staff are super nice, helpful and very welcoming. They also helped us to arrange our transport from and to El Nido. You can rent the scooter from them to drive around. We had breakfast and dinner there every day, and it was lovely. Overall, we loved it!! Thank you so much for everything!! :)
