Sitting directly across from a stunning mountain range is the delightful, well-managed Fyffe Country Lodge. Hosts Chris & Colin are the friendliest people we’ve met on our travels around New Zealand. It felt as though we’ve known each other for many years. The grounds are lovingly maintained. Our room, was perfect with its elegant decor and cleanliness beyond expectations. Meals were delicious and well-presented.

That it was very clean, spacious and had amazingly comfortable beds. Also table tennis was an unexpected bonus - we would have stayed longer if had known that was available!

We stayed in a beautiful two bedroom apartment which had a fantastic modern kitchen with everything we needed to cook a nice meal. The high ceilings and gas fire made the living room a really lovely place to sit and have a wine and read when it was raining outside. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space in the apartment. There was also a lovely outdoor eating area which I think would be great in warmer weather.

The photos didn't do justice to the full character of the cottage. It was lovely sitting by the fire in the lounge. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved that it had the original old cabinets. It rained a lot before we arrived and Kevin still tried his best that we could see the animal.
