The owner is very generous and welcoming, and the accommodation was just as described. I would stay again if I end up in this village on my next Iceland trips.

The decorations were especially unique and thoughtful. The basement suite was so cozy and we loved getting to use the hot tubs as well.

Located in Skinnastadir, Dettifoss Guesthouse is 25 km north of Dettifoss Waterfall. It offers simple, modern rooms with shared bathrooms. WiFi and parking are free. The staff was extremely helpful even though I did not meet them in person. They picked up the phone both late at night and in the early morning to assist us. The kitchen has a lot of utensils!
