These unique recommendations added so much depth to my exploration of the surrounding area. The relaxed vibe extended to the morning routine as well. I appreciated the flexibility around breakfast times—there was no rush, and I could enjoy my morning meal even if arriving at the end of the schedule, savoring it without feeling hurried. This laid-back approach contributed significantly to the overall feeling of comfort and ease during my stay. My accommodation was a charming little house entirely constructed from wood, with thoughtful and attractive decorations that created a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The eating area followed suit, adorned with vintage decorations and decorative natural flowers, making every meal feel special. Having a parking spot right next to my house added an extra layer of convenience, simplifying my daily excursions. While the accommodation didn’t offer dinner during my stay due to the low season, this turned out to be a hidden blessing. It led me to explore the nearby city of Hofn, where I discovered some fantastic restaurants for my evening meals. In summary, my stay at Árnanes Country Hotel was nothing short of delightful, thanks to the incredible warmth of the owners, the beauty of the surroundings, and the comfort of my accommodation. I left feeling refreshed and grateful for the experience.

Set just 1 km from Hornafjördur Airport. Free WiFi access. The Route 1 Ring Road is right next to the guest house. A seating area and work desk feature in all guest rooms at Seljavellir Guesthouse. We had a wonderful stay in these lovely rooms! The location was perfect—not only for exploring but also it was the ideal spot to watch the Northern Lights, and we were lucky enough to see them right from our windows. The rooms were warm, cozy, and beautifully set up—just what you need for a comfortable stop while doing the Ring Road. Our host was very thoughtful and made sure everything was perfect for us. A special mention to the sweet lady at breakfast—she was so kind and took great care of us! We highly recommend this place and would love to stay here again! 😊✨🏡

Just 1 km off Iceland’s Ring Road, this privately-run guest house is 4 km from Höfn town centre. It offers free WiFi, scenic views of the surrounding nature and a furnished terrace in the garden. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Pluto. Communication and checking in were seamless. The kitchen and common area are big. The kitchen is stocked w/cooking amenities along with info on places to see/go/eat in Hofn. The bathroom is spacious. The room was more than enough space for my friend and I. The room and facility are very clean. Without hesitation, I would stay here again.

It is located right on the main road, but is well protected by a wall and a pasture with (in our case) two Icelandic horses. The house leaves nothing to be desired. Everything is well thought out, practical, beautiful, and clean. A truly lovely place where you would want to stay longer. Self-check-in makes arrival times very flexible.
