In a quiet location in Wals, 5 km of the historic centre of Salzburg, the family-run Hotel Himmelreich features a sauna and a garden with a swimming pool. Very helpful and empathic staff. Great breakfast. Having bikes available for ride was a nice bonus.

Hidden away in Austrian farmland, this property exceeded our expectations! It was incredibly clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. The shop downstairs with local goodies was very useful too. There's a bus stop ~10 mins walk away, which in heavy snow was difficult but very enjoyable passing by the cows and local farms. I can't wait to come back and stay again.

This modern, quietly located 4-star hotel is part of the Wals Trade Centre and is just off the A1 motorway and only 800 metres from Salzburg Airport. A nice hotel to stay in Salzburg very close to shopping center Penny. It is in the outskirt of the city so easy to reach from the highway. With a bicycle you can easily get in the city centre too. There is a nice bicyle path all along the river, don't miss it! :) The breakfast was good too.

Size was as per the price. But bigger than expectation and photos. Bink bed was comfortable. Child 9 yrs old slept comfortably on bunk bed. Everyday cleaning was provided. Parking was free. Hotel was stunning clean. Perfect Cozy stay. Even though ahead of airport public transport was superb. Some walking of 10 mins and 20 mins in the City Center from Bus.

Check-in was simple. Wifi was good. Appliances were modern. I should note that we had the whole house to ourselves, which made it quite nice. I'm not sure we'd have enjoyed it if another family was staying upstairs. We didn't realize this is a shared house with 4 bedrooms that can be rented out to other guests. We probably would not have booked, if we knew that.
