I was a solo female traveler and I felt so safe staying here. It has much character and such warmth from the proud owners who welcome you as if you’re visiting their home. The breakfast in the morning is perfectly simple and so sweet to eat out in the courtyard.

The staff made us feel like we were part of a big family. Our room was very comfortable, cozy, and clean. The food was also very good. It's a bit hidden, but that wasn't an issue at all because they help you get affordable transportation every time you need it. Overall, our stay was fantastic, and we will definitely stay at Villa Lu next time we visit Tarapoto 🌴❤️

DO NOT second guess yourself We originally booked for two nights but after the first night we extended our stay another 6 nights. Great staff, beautiful property, safe, super clean and well tended property. Breakfast was amazing every morning. The owners live on site and are super hospitable. I can’t imagine any other properties in the area compare.
