Hotel River Front was a little piece of paradise for the 2 nights we stayed here (with my husband and 5 year old). The entire property is immaculately clean - from the gardens to the rooms and bathrooms - it was spotless. Room and bathroom was large, good hot water in shower, good air-conditioning, lovely balcony overlooking garden wirh river at the bottom. Pool was fabulous and great to relax around after a safari. We ate dinner at the hotel on both nights. Food was really delicious and good choice. Breakfast was included in the package and was very good (fresh pancakes, fruit, toast, eggs, sausage, etc...). On the morning of our safari they packaged a breakfast up for us which was appreciated. Hotel organised a private safari for us. Channa was our guide and was brilliant. So knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure we had a great day. We saw loads of animals including leopards and the scenery was stunning. A special thanks to all the staff who made our stay so special- they all do a fabulous job and made us so very welcome. If we are back in the area we would definitely stay here again.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Lankavatara Ocean Retreat is located in Kalametiya, 15 km from Tangalle Lagoon. The hotel has a good vibe. Many thanks to the hotel manager Mr. Asanka, I really enjoyed the stay and the staff was friendly.

Yakaduru Yala is located on the buffer Zone of Yala National Park. It's just 5 minutes away from the Yala National Park Entrance. Unique place, really beautiful garden area and cozy rooms. Comfortable bed. Food was really good and staff was amazingly nice. We enjoyed especially the bushwalk tour in the nearby area with Yakaduru staff and watching the sunset in the rocks behind the hotel. The (morning) safari bpoked through hotel was also very we'll arranged: they offer you tea/coffee in the hotel before heading to the safari, they give you a basket of soft drinks for safari and serve breakfast when you return.

Very good place to stay. The staff welcomed us and provided us with a very precious jeep to go on a Yala safari the next day. Everything is fine.

The host is very generous and helpful, probably the best host I’ve ever met. He basically helped us with everything, the booking of kayaking in the lake, the turtle watching, he took us to the beach and shared lots of useful information. He even waited at the beach to ride my kids back by his motorcycle when it was almost 10 pm. As we were swimming, he arranged our dinner by the pool. The breakfast was also hearty and delicious. As for the villa, it is clean, spacious, nicely decorated. Every room has a clothes drying rack, which is very thoughtful. My favorite is the swimming pool, very clean and modern, there is also a kids pool too!
