Location is good, 3mins walk from JR Beppu station. Breakfast is great, providing almost all the varieties of Japanese food. I will try the dinner my next visit for sure.

A nice value for the price. This hostel is made for western people (large bath, not hard matresse and pillow with the small balls combo...ect). As a minor drawback there is not a lot of electric outlet and they are not greatly placed in the room. We also got the women bath code but we were two males. The personal is great and well english spoken. The view in the room suxx, but you can get a nice one from the hotel lobby, especialy at night. Its good that everyrthing is on the same floor and the bath is decent. The buffet is nice and not so cheap so it could help. Its too expensive tho. As a side note, we booked during hanami season and there were a lot of those customer visiting as 50 in a bus if you catch my drift. Viva kumamon!

Open from September 2019, only 150 metres from JR Hakata Train Station, Miyako Hotel Hakata offers stylish rooms with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Location and staff were impeccable. For example, when the front desk called for a taxi, one of the concierges in the lobby escorted us to the taxi, and made sure the driver knew where we were going. The rooftop pool and spa were most welcome after a long day of travel.

It was a mix of many pleasant experiences. The owners, a young couple with child, were really friendly and always supporting. The room on 2nd floor was tidy and clean. All equipment, bathroom, free coffee and tea were impeccable. The first floor was a stunning, private library and at the entrance they run a cosy caffee with self baken scones and cookies and spirit, if you're keen on in the evening. Local friends and customers gathered there, always a pleasant option to get in contact with locals or having a refreshing chat. The value for money is top notch, so is the atmosphere.
