What an amazing and surprising hotel. I travel a lot to China for work, and while good hotels are usually... just hotels, the experience at EBO was different. The hotel I usually stay at in Hangzhou wasn’t available, so I booked a room at EBO. From the outside, the hotel looked quite simple and unremarkable, which made me a bit concerned at first. However, as soon as I stepped into the lobby on the fifth floor, I discovered a hidden gem. The lobby and courtyard are beautifully designed in a Japanese/Nordic style. The check-in process was quick, and they even upgraded my room. The room itself was by far the most beautiful one I’ve stayed in over the past few years: it had a stunning view of the city, a warm and minimalist design, a huge and comfortable bed, and an enormous bathtub. There was also a built-in sound system in the room, which was super cool. After two weeks of traveling across China, I had a peaceful and relaxing evening in the room. Everything felt brand new, from the furniture to the bathroom fixtures. Breakfast was a classic Chinese breakfast—delicious for those who enjoy and are open to trying it. Personally, I enjoy a Chinese breakfast, but for those who aren’t as fond of it, I’m afraid there aren’t many “Western” options available at breakfast. The reception staff also allowed me to check out late, which I greatly appreciated. I had an amazing and unexpected experience! Can’t wait to return soon.

The stay here now was even better than the last. The staff let us store our excess luggage so that we could pick it up a month later from then (this stay). We could also order stuff online and get packages delivered to the hotel. They have a robot that delivers food to your room if you order from Mei Tuan! The staff is very friendly, rooms are very clean and quiet. Would absolutely stay there again if I’m ever in Hangzhou again! 10/10!

I loved this place so much more than I expected! Such a cozy, quaint, and quiet place for any traveler to stay, especially if you’re looking for a peaceful get away from the city. The location is wonderful, such a lovely area to walk around and explore, there’s so much to do and very accessible. the host who works there is so welcoming, both the he and the other worker was very attentive and friendly to our needs and the breakfast every morning was so delicious. They were very generous and gracious to me and my mom who stayed. I loved hanging out with the cute cat too, definitely a huge plus. It really felt like I was at home, such a warm atmosphere. I’m so grateful for being able to stay there. Also highly recommend you check out this incredible vegetarian restaurant just a 4 minute walk from the property, called Qingchun perma. You definitely don’t need to be vegetarian to enjoy the food, very high quality. I love everything about this stay.
