The Lodge is situated far away from the city, right at the shore of the Sambesi River. Extremely quiet and peaceful at night with a million stars above. But be careful: The hippos come out of the river at night and you better stay inside of your chalet. We were instructed that this would happen and at night they accompanied us from dinner to our chalets. Super friendly staff organized a tour to the Victoria falls and through the city of Livingstone.

The rooms are roomy, giving you a sense of adequate space. Although I didn't use the gym, I was delighted to note there is one that I can use next time.

Situated at the heart of Livingstone City Centre, within a historic 19th century colonial building, New Fairmount Hotel blends historical architecture with contemporary interior design. The hotel was nice and the food was good but the best part were the staff! Allan, Mwelwa and Euphrasia were absolutely amazing! I would consider giving them a raise :)
