At the side of city centre, which means away from the hustle bustle of the city centre but it is a very convenient location. There are few eateries for breakfast and we had a great Taiwanese dinner at Fu Gong Happiness Restaurant which is a short walk from the hotel. There is also a laundry just adjacent to the hotel.

Set within 300 metres of Manbo Beach and 18 km of Pine Garden, The Moment Hotel Hualien by Lakeshore provides rooms in Shunan. Super helpful front desk staff next door. They helped us check in and told us all about things to see and do in the area, and about a dance show that evening and any and all dining opertunities. It was nice that they let us use the pool/hot tub in the more expensive hotel next to us, and let us use bikes for 2 hrs for free. The location on the beach is lovely. The pool was so nice and clean. The view of the ocean was gorgeous and the hotel looked dramatic against the mountain behind it.

Set in Hualien City, 3.1 km from Pine Garden, Champ De Rose Hotel features views of the city. I have only good things to say about this hotel. The room was large, clean, modern and comfortable. The bathroom featured a shower and tub. The breakfast was excellent.

Set in Fengshan in the Hualien County region, Ardennes Villa offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a sauna. The accommodation features a spa bath. Love that it's an adults only resort and set in the middle of the fields. Each unit is huge and has a really nice tub and steam bath in the room. There were also bikes and afternoon tea. Breakfast was fabulous!
