Just 5 km from central Strömstad, Daftö Resort offers a summertime theme park with an outdoor pool and children's activity house. Strömstad Golf Club is 8 km away. We had no idea what to expect from a "pirate hotel", but it was above any expectation! Besides that, it was a wonderfull room, with big balcony, big big bed and all very clean and "piratty". Beautiful cabin in the woods. Spacious, lovely decor, great terrace. Fantastic forest for walking nearby. Cabin was larger than it looks in the pictures, with two proper sleeping rooms upstairs. One room had a double bed and the other two singles, perfect for a family of four.

Our family had a super stay here. This place has four identical spacious cabins in two floors built in 2017. Everything looks new and is of high quality, they didn't save on anything here. First floor has a fully equipped kitchen with oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee machine, toaster, dining area, two sofas. Above there are two bedrooms with views, one double and two single beds. All we needed was there, including bed linen, towels, dishtowel, dishwasher detergent, hand soap, and in our case even coffee. The private cabins are well isolated from each others, separated by trees, connected with elevated terraces and walks. To one side you have the ranch and open fields, and to the other is a ridge and woods, with multiple marked walking paths in a nature protected area. There is a childrens playground, and a vegetable garden. The trail starts 50 meters from the house, and continues up to the ridge where there are views over the sea. A couple of kilometers away is the sea. The beach is a nature reserve with bedrock all over, birds and sheep.

Surrounded by an oak forest and open fields, Stakaberg Konferens & Gårdshotell is located in the beautiful landscape of Halland, only 9 km from Halmstad. The breakfast was great. Stakaberg is in the countryside, which we prefer during summertime. We loved the beautiful outdoor areas for breakfast.
