Just 5 km from central Strömstad, Daftö Resort offers a summertime theme park with an outdoor pool and children's activity house. Strömstad Golf Club is 8 km away. This place was a very happy surprise in so many ways! We really did not know what to expect from a pirate-themed resort but we had a beautiful and very comfortable room. Mid-week and off-season, we had the whole resort practically to ourselves. It is situated on the water so we enjoyed a morning walk around the property. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! I can't imagine what the resort is like during the summer, it must be crazy busy with the amusement park. But if I lived near, I would definitely take my grandkids for a couple of days.

Very cozy little cabin, with a lot of attention to the details. Very scenic view on the sea and the forest from the patio area. Hosts are very nice and always available. Plus points for the complimentary sweets and the private parking spot.

Surrounded by an oak forest and open fields, Stakaberg Konferens & Gårdshotell is located in the beautiful landscape of Halland, only 9 km from Halmstad. The breakfast was great. Stakaberg is in the countryside, which we prefer during summertime. We loved the beautiful outdoor areas for breakfast.

Offering a terrace and views of the garden, Hotell Hamngatan 27 is situated in Falkenberg in the Halland Region, 29 km from Ullared. This hotel is in a seahouse next to the Ätran River. Close to town and just by the water. It’s clean and nice. The staff are also friendly plus a nice breakfast selection!!

Apelvikstrand Strandhus offers modern, self-catering holiday homes next to Apelvik Beach, 3 km south of central Varberg. Each accommodation has a furnished patio, kitchenette and flat-screen TV. Fabulous location right beside the beach, staff were super friendly and house was clean and had everything we needed.

Situated right by Skrea Beach, Ocean Hotel offers free WiFi and sauna access. All rooms at Ocean Hotel include a minibar, an electric kettle and a flat tv-screen. What a superb hotel. We used it en-route from Norway to the UK. Situated right on the seafront, lovely and quiet and easy to get to from the motorway. The room was huge... I could have parked my car in it and still have had room to spare :-) The restaurant served delicious local food at very reasonable prices all served by a very friendly barman/waiter/receptionist. Breakfast also had an excellent selection. All this at an amazingly low price!

Situated right by Kungsbacka Station, this family-run hotel is just 25 minutes’ train ride from Gothenburg Central Station. It offers a sauna, a popular bar and rooms with flat-screen TVs. Lovely staff, great location and has all the basic needs.
