Just 5 km from central Strömstad, Daftö Resort offers a summertime theme park with an outdoor pool and children's activity house. Strömstad Golf Club is 8 km away. This place was a very happy surprise in so many ways! We really did not know what to expect from a pirate-themed resort but we had a beautiful and very comfortable room. Mid-week and off-season, we had the whole resort practically to ourselves. It is situated on the water so we enjoyed a morning walk around the property. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! I can't imagine what the resort is like during the summer, it must be crazy busy with the amusement park. But if I lived near, I would definitely take my grandkids for a couple of days.

Very cozy little cabin, with a lot of attention to the details. Very scenic view on the sea and the forest from the patio area. Hosts are very nice and always available. Plus points for the complimentary sweets and the private parking spot.

Scandic Laholmen is 200 metres from Strömstad Station. Its popular restaurant offers views of Koster Fjord and the Skagerrak Sea. Free WiFi is available. The views from the indoor and outdoor lounge area are absolutely incredible! The breakfast is amazing! Never seen such an assortment of foods! Great cocktails at the bar. The location of the hotel in the middle of the lovely town is great.

Located next to the Byfjord in Uddevalla, Hotell Bohusgården features a spa and wellness area. WiFi and parking services are free of charge. All rooms have a TV. Second time here this year. Discoveted they have free ice cream and candies. Pool tables, table tennis, several chess tables and shuffle boards, Football game and extensive lounge area. This time breakfast was excellent and plentifull. Only thing was no artificial sweeteners but I carried my own.
