Dating back to 1914, this hotel is 3 minutes’ walk from Sandefjord Station. It offers free afternoon waffles with tea/coffee, a free evening buffet, plus free sauna and gym access. Everything. The hotel had a lot of charm and had all the modern amenities needed for a comfortable and easy stay. The food was delicious and we loved the all inclusive system in the very cool restaurant setting where we felt like we were inside a boat. What is not to love about this hotel? I think they have really thought about what customers like. We only stayed one night but hope to come back.

Situated about 5 minutes’ walk from Tønsberg Station, this central waterfront hotel offers free Wi-Fi and sea views. All rooms have a flat-screen cable TV. Everything about this place was excellent. It is in a great location, easy walking to everything in town. Be sure to check out the Whaling Museum (Slottsfjellsmuseet), just a few blocks away, with its many enormous whale skeletons and other exhibits on the history of the region. The hotel room was good size, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was terrific with a large variety of offerings. The hotel has an on-site underground garage for self parking. While the parking fee was expensive ( NOK 420 per night), it was extremely convenient. (It also looked like there were some other public lots across the street and in the neighborhood that may be less pricey, especially for longer stays) Overall we had a great stay and recommend the Hotel Klubben as an excellent choice in Tønsberg.

Featuring views of the harbour and fjord, the Thon Hotel Tønsberg Brygge is located in Tønsberg. The popular entertainment area, Brygga i Tønsberg, is within 300 metres of the hotel. Immaculate. The room was neatly organized, and the controls for room lights and bathroom water were intuitive. Plenty of hot water and pressure in the shower. There’s a built in clothes line too. TV easy with music options. The window opens just enough to get a breath of fresh air, even though the room temperature was perfect. The staff was cheerful, efficient, quiet, cooperative, helpful, and pleasant. The lobby is a good place to sit with coffee/tea ready to make any time. The breakfast buffet—oh my! There is such a variety of, plenty of it, and all delicious. All the guests served ourselves quietly and the place was spotless. Hot food was hot, cold food cold.
