First Camp Bø - Telemark is a campsite open all year round, only 500 meters away from Sommarland in Bø, right by Lifjell and with Høyt og Lavt adventure park right on the forest border to the camping... The room is extremely cozy! It has some features such as a minibar and television in the room. Extremely practical check-in. The location is in a very quiet area, at least in autumn, but perhaps it can be busier during the summer.

Situated by the town hall in Skien city centre, Thon Hotel Høyers offers free WiFi and private parking is possible. The hotel manager and her staff were attentive, helpful, good listeners, and happy. We enjoyed all interactions with the staff. The breakfast was a feast. Beautiful and delicious. Canadian hotels could really learn something about breakfasts that are included with the room. The location was superb. Right in the heart of town. They do need to re-think the front entrance. I think it needs to be more accessible for the physically handicapped. Overall, a great hotel!

Boasting accommodation with a plunge pool, lake view and a patio, Hytta på Øyfjell is situated in Trovatn. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. We spent 10 days on vacation with the family and chose a forest by the lake instead of the sea. The stay was wonderful – peaceful nature, fresh forest air, and a jacuzzi by the cabin with a view of the mountains and lake made it a perfect place to relax. The cabin is fully equipped for a longer stay. We drove 11 km to a nearby town for water and groceries. The host was very kind, always responded quickly, and helped with any questions. It’s a great place to recharge.
