Melanie went out of her way to assist us with getting to and from her home as we had messed up our transport options.Melanie also opened her traditional home for us to view ,of which ,was beautiful. The house and grounds were a pleasure to visit and wish we could have stayed longer.

The visit to the restaurant ODE was a wonderful and outstanding experience we will not forgot. The menu, the different dishes, the open kitchen , the staff - a beautiful evening to remember for a long time. Thank you to the crew from the hotel/ restaurant for that wonderful weekend.

I recently stayed at Van der Valk Hotel Leeuwarden and was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The hotel is modern, spacious, and immaculately maintained. My room was large, with a comfortable bed, stylish décor, and a spotless bathroom equipped with a rainfall shower. Small touches like the coffee machine, generous desk space, and quiet atmosphere made it perfect for both work and relaxation. The breakfast: unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to try the breakfast. Location-wise: the hotel is just outside the city center, making it easy to reach by car with free parking, yet only a short drive or bike ride into Leeuwarden’s charming old town. What stood out most was the staff: friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to make guests feel welcome. From check-in to check-out, everything felt effortless and well-organized.
