I've stayed at the SAVV three times - once with my boyfriend on vacation and twice by myself on work trips to Penang. Each time was very pleasant. I especially liked the rooms with big windows and views of the sea and boats. The SAVV is a truly quiet oasis in George Town. It's not too near the bars and restaurants that open late so you can get a good night's sleep. What I loved best is the little pool area which is surrounded by big plants and flowers and the "treehouse." I worked from there many afternoons and it was such a nice environment to work from. The staff were friendly and remembered me from my previous stays.

This was due to many reasons: A total of only 6 rooms overall, the individualized and always attentive service Lawrence provided, the extremely high quality of furniture, bathroom equipment and decoration, the lovely bathroom amenities, the extensive complimentary minibar and snack selection, daily tea time and breakfast delicacies etc. Also, the room was cleaned thoroughly on a daily base, night-time greetings handed out every evening and daily, very friendly and personal chats with Lawrence made us feel like home. At times, the street noises became a bit of an obstacle to sleeping due to the lack of noise protection, but the muezzin's prayer calls in the morning somehow even added to the already magical atmosphere. Thank you, Lawrence and the entire team of 88 Armenian including Suet Chin, who managed the pre-communication in such lovely ways, for having us experience true luxury!

We brought our small dog along for the trip and she was made to feel welcome and cared for. We loved it so much we booked another stay while we were still there.

The property is very clean and the host is very considerate in providing enough hangers for each room and extension wires in each room as many of us are travelling with our family. In addition, I love how considerate our host is in providing grab bars in the toilets to assist elderly parents. The kitchen is also fully stocked with plates, mugs and cutlery needed for our family of 11 people. The host Ivan is really friendly and helpful. I would definitely return to stay in the homestay if we are ever in the vicinity. Thank you. 🩵
