This is the most fantastic place built around the trees and natural habitat on the outskirts of Yala national park. Everything was provided, the food was incredible and we were given a trip to the fishing village on the beach for sunset in their buggy with Suraj and Tilina. It was like a mini safari. We saw crocodiles, deer, tortoises wild boar and on the beach the boys showed us where the elephants had been earlier in the day, footprints still showing in the sand. Suraj and Tilina were both young but so knowledgeable and friendly. They provided us breakfast at 4am for our Yala safari and we can't thank them, and the manager enough for making us so welcome. Will definitely stay again if we return to Sri Lanka.

It's one of the great location unique landscape and friendly staff I appreciate this beautiful Villa for multiple times one of My Favourite in Kataragama

With pool views, Tranquil Wild is located in Tanamalwila and has a restaurant, room service, snack bar, garden, year-round outdoor pool and terrace. One word : perfect. The room, the amazing view (peacocks next to the room), the staff, and also the restaurant was awesome. The owner made sure that everything was right for us, and was very accommodating. Set in Tissamaharama, 2.5 km from Tissa Wewa, Nehansa Resort and safari offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Beautiful setting and very clean. The staff were exceptional, with a welcome drink. One of them took us on a night tour for no cost to see crocodiles and bats coming out for the night.

Situated 2.9 km from Tissa Wewa, New Vilard offers a garden, and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. We stayed 1 night here before our safari in Yala. The owners kindly helped us organise our safari and when we got back they had a delicious and very generously sized breakfast waiting for us. Would recommend this place to all.

Set within 2.2 km of Tissa Wewa and 27 km of Bundala Bird Sanctuary in Tissamaharama, Amazon Cabanas provides accommodation with seating area. Location for Yala safari. Owner made sure we had a breakfast packed for a very early departure (0430), and allowed us to quickly change and wash up before departing after our safari experience. Best deal I have ever had for a night’s stay. Very clean and roomy and comfortable!

Offering a restaurant and free bikes, MOON LIGHT Guest House is located just 1.1 km from the Tissamaharama Bus Station and 3.2 km from the beautiful Tissa Lake. The guesthouse is located just outside the village, at a quiet location between the ricefields. They are very friendly and helpful and have everything you need, comfortable and clean rooms, great Sri Lankan food, good wifi. They arrange very good safari’s and if you are solo traveller like me, if you want, they will get you a jeep to share with other travellers. It’s about 10-15 minutes walking to the nearest restaurant but if you do the full day safari I recommend to use their dinner, delicious Sri Lankan food including fruit and a dessert. Recommended this place!

Hilton Yala Resort has an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and private beach area in Yala. 21 km from Situlpawwa and 22 km from Tissa Wewa, the property provides a terrace and a bar. The hotel was very well designed and the amenities were excellent. Specific call out to the main restaurant where we had great service from the staff & chef (Jerome) and delicious meals catered to our taste. Being in the forest, it was a lovely experience to walk around the compound and wake up to the sight of animals within the vicinity (e.g. monkeys or squirrels in the morning). Would highly recommend this resort for visitors looking to do a safari at Yala National Park.
