The place is amazing – extremely clean and modern. The room was very spacious, with complimentary water and fruit provided, which was a nice touch. There’s also a restaurant on-site that we really enjoyed. We only stayed for one night because of its proximity to the airport, and unfortunately the monsoon season had already started, so we couldn’t make use of the pool or do much else. The host was excellent – communication was smooth, and he kindly arranged both pick-up and drop-off (very early in the morning) at the airport for a fair price. Highly recommended!

It’s the tropics so we weren’t bothered by an in room gecko keeping the bugs away. A/C worked great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Dayan was super nice. We requested pick up service from the airport at 3-4 in the morning. Dayan contacted us in advance to inform us where he will wait for us. After some hours of sleep he also dropped us off at the tuktuk rental , which is only 200m away. The hotel is clean, has a very good bed and is close to the airport.

Location was great, room was quiet with good AC. Bed comfortable with really fancy ergonomic pillows! The bathroom was not directly attached to the room, but it was our own private bathroom to use, with a curtain providing privacy to go from the room to the toilet. Warm water in the shower. Easy walk to the beach through the back way, close to food and restaurants! Nice light breakfast and common space for guests to eat together! Good wifi. This place is off the tourist strip and is tucked away in a residential area, but it's really easy to walk to town in less than 5 minutes Owners are attentive and professional!

Run by a local family, Villa Shade is a charming and peaceful property surrounded by green gardens, just 4 km from Negombo City. We are Estonian family with two teenage kids and stayed one night before taking a flight next morning. Villa´s location is excellent if you have an early flight to catch and staff in villa looks after guests so well. Owner was meeting us in person on arrival and while checking in, we were offered fresh home made lemon juice made from their own organic garden lemons. We were helped with our luggage. Our teens were thrilled by the pool, basketball ground and beautiful villa.
