Everything about this hotel was amazing. They upgraded our room and went above and beyond expectations. It’s an intimate hotel with friendly staff, great location and is impeccably maintained. Wish I could stay longer.

Our stay was great! Everything went smoothly, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfasts were varied. The place is quiet, and we had no disturbances at night. The shower room with an open roof was a unique experience. We highly recommend this place for its comfort and peaceful atmosphere!

The Merchant features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Galle. Everything. Central location, beautiful hotel and well thought out rooms. But most of all excellent service and staff.. I got a very friendly welcome at check-in by three ladies (unfortunately didn't get their names) and help at early morning check out by Amin. The hotel also arranged for a packed breakfast. I wish I had come earlier and stayed longer.

We’ve stayed in Sri Lanka for 4 days We had a terrible experience the first 2 days but Riff hotel diffidently made it up for us we’re highly satisfied and we’re coming back for sure.
