Located in Glaston, 33 km from Leicester Railway Station, The Old Pheasant provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. We had a room on the road side of the hotel but it was so well soundproofed that we didn't hear any traffic noise and the bed was so comfortable that we both woke 90 minutes later than we normally do! Nice, fresh selection for the continental breakfast. Convenience of restaurant on site for dinner the previous evening.

Beautiful hotel set by the reservoir. Lovely view from lakeside rooms. Good size familyroom.Great play area outside for kids. Had a lovely evening meal and english breakfast. Nestled close to the shores of Rutland Water, just 5 minutes’ drive from Oakham and a 50-minute drive from Leicester. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much effort for them. They were so welcoming as well. Food was delicious, location was superb and set on such beautiful green lands. There was plenty to do both in and out side.

The staff, the restaurant, the food, the cleanliness the atmosphere location. Everything was perfect. We would come back.

Lodge are huge. 3 bedrooms, large living room, well equipped kitchen, washing machine, balcony on the lake! cannot believe that we found such a place!
