We stop over in Picardy when travelling between France and England and we love the area around Coucy le Chateau. The Chateau du Mont Guny has an incredible location and has been wonderfully redecorated. It is not especially cheap, but you are paying for a perfect calm rural setting, lovely rooms, fabulous views and a terrace for breakfast and evenings. Very strongly recommended indeed.

Beautiful property in a very quiet part of the town, Maria could not have been more welcoming, showing us around her garden and orchard. It was great to see her chickens wandering around the garden, scratching for food, and of course we enjoyed fresh eggs for breakfast. We also received a warm welcome from her cat, one of the friendliest cats I have ever met.

Every morning Carole would ask what you wanted the next day for breakfast. Meals were delicious. La Filiture was within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Great location. Both Carole and Oliver were very helpful and friendly. My wife would characterize it as very cute. Free parking across the street.

The room is really cozy, lots of space availabe, all furnished in a beautiful way. The breakfast was great. I travelled with my bike and it could be stored safely. The owners are very friendy and attentive to your needs.

It was one the best gites I've had in France and I have rented quite a few to be sure. But what makes it great? Everything was new, the beds were great, the garden truly marvelous and a great spot to relax; the only things you heard were birds. There were plenty of games to play, the kitchen was good, two nice bathrooms, and the gites is situaties at a lovely square. If in doubt, don't be, it was really great :)
