A recently renovated property, Olivae Hostal Boutique is located in Cáceres near San Juan Church, Santa María Church-Procathedral and Plaza Mayor Caceres. Room and building were recently refurbished. Tastefully furnished and comfortable. Electrical kettle was a bonus. Could do with another suitcase rack. Room was spacious. Very close to old city walls and best preserved old city we have seen so far in Europe. Unfortunately only one night here, more to see but not enough time. Building has a lift.

These modern apartments are in the centre of Cáceres, a World Heritage City. They are 40 metres from the Plaza Mayor, and 150 metres from the Medieval Old Town. Everything was wonderful! It was especially refreshing after some of the poor facilities we have been stuck in. Great location and near parking. You can't go wrong here.

Hospes Palacio de Arenales dates back to the 17th century and was formally the holiday residence of a noble family. This 5-star hotel offers a wellness centre and spa. Although I wasn’t travelling with my dogs I was delighted to find out this is a dog friendly hotel, it even had a dog friendly restaurant inside the hotel. The staff there very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent. There is nothing I could fault.

Located in a quiet and pretty residential area of Cáceres, this elegant hotel offers free Wi-Fi and chic rooms. The outdoor pool is set within gardens. Spotless clean. Happy, courteous and professional staff. Excellent location, walking distance from a few restaurants and shops. Had a very pleasant stay with my family. Will recommend and visit again.

NH Gran Hotel Casino de Extremadura is next to the Guadiana River, 10 minutes’ walk from Badajoz city centre and Alcazaba Fortress. It offers free WiFi and houses the Gran Casino de Extremadura. Fabulous hotel! The staff super friendly and helpful at all times. Rooms were super comfy and clean. The restaurant was amazing!

Housed in a former convent, built in the 15th century, the Parador de Plasencia hotel has kept its stunning, original architecture, including spacious hallways, archways and courtyards. Absolutely stunning property. Was truely like staying in in a Royal Palace! Such a beautiful building with period furnishings. Staff were very busy but remained calm and helpful at all times Even our lead in room type had a separate sitting room with comfy chairs. It was huge. If you are looking at reviews and wondering if it's worth the price, stop looking and book it!
