The cabin was clean and well equipped with cooking facilities even though we did not cook. The restaurant at the front had great food and the manager was very friendly.

Pelican Point Sanctuary is a unique wetland and grassland 87 acre property located 2 kilometres from St Helens, on the road to Bay of Fires, Tasmania. We were traveling through AUS for three weeks for the first time, and the Pelican Point Sanctuary was our favorite accommodation on our trip. Honestly, it was one of the most amazing places we’ve ever stayed. The location is amazing- minutes away from St. Helens which has grocery stores, coffee shops, and restaurants, as well as The Bay of Fires and lots of stunning beaches along the way. And the accommodation itself was breathtaking. We loved walking around the grounds and taking in the stunning views. The bed was comfortable, we loved the full kitchen and black-out curtains, and appreciated the on-site amenities of the grill and laundry. Truly can’t recommend enough.

Provided with sandwich maker, microwave, fridge, kettle, coffee machine (no stovetop/toaster). Pods, instant coffee and teabags also provided. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Washing machine and dryer available for use on the lower floor, which was useful. Convenient street parking. Nearby IGA, and a good base to visit the bay of fires and beerbarrell beach.

The location was great , the views lovely over the bay even if you didn’t have a water view room as there is plenty of seating areas to admire the birds and bay . All the staff were great and so friendly . Sue on reception was a huge help and Peter the manager helped with a medical issue . The whole hotel was spotlessly clean . Beds and pillows very comfortable.

Queechy Motel is situated in St Helens. Each accommodation at the 3.5-star motel has river views and most rooms have stairs. It was the perfect location, near all the shops, not far from the tourist beaches. The room was bigger than I expected, and nicer. Perfect parking sport right in front of the room.
