It is such an amazing experience, different from anywhere else in the world I have stayed. The place is set on the beach and on the fringes of Jomani Forest so the monkeys come during the day and you can watch them up in the trees. Camels, donkeys and goats are around but not intrusive, plus cats, a dog called Dudu and amazing bird and lizards. You can watch the villagers walk past on the beach singing or going fishing, and in the evening playing football (very serious and they warm up with exercises first), The staff are amazing and so helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The food !!! they have an incredible cook! At dusk they come to ask if you want your room sprayed against mosquitoes and hand you a little rolled up rhyme wishing you well and give you two biscuits to have with your late night tea or coffee. I have never been in such a peaceful haven in Nature... I could have stayed forever!

The location is a little far, however my entire stay was amazing. All the staff were amazing. The most welcoming and kind people I have ever met. It's a quiet place. The house is located in a guarded area. The beach is a 5 minutes walk away. The pool was very nice. Wifi was slightly better than other places I have visited in Zanzibar. Every day you get a huge breakfast made for you in the villa. There is AC in every room so you can set the temperature to what you like. It felt really luxurious and we didn't feel anything was missing during our stay. Outside the area you need transport to get to stores, activities, so make sure you have contact information to drivers. There is plenty of ATMs within 5 minute drive and I had no issues withdrawing Tanzanian shillings from them.

The property exceeded our expectations. Big thanks to the owners Mariola and Janek, the chill out atmosphere you’ve created is just amazing. We felt like part of the family. Super lovely and attentive staff, there is no problem with any request you might have. The hotel is very clean, with big pool and lots of greenery around. You feel like staying in an exotic oasis. Only few mins walk to a 5 start beach/ one of the prettiest on the island. Mariola as a host is supper attentive, making sure the guests feel comfortable, she helped us to organise some trips and little shopping if you wish to. In general there is no need to leave the hotel as the food and drinks served are delicious. Hands down to the chef! The rooms are big and cleaned few times a day. The TIANDE staff are greeting you with a smile, always happy to chat.
