I absolutely love this location, it is perfect, at high tide the stairs, leading to the beach from the property are covered in water, at low tide, you have super soft sand to walk to the sea which is just a few metres away. Great swimming location. And everything that you need is in the apartment including an ice cold fridge. If you don’t feel like cooking , there is a restaurant next door with good value food and drinks. There are many other restaurants further on the beach if you feel like walking 15 minutes on the beach, including a very nice pizza place. All in all, I would highly recommend staying here and would stay here for the whole Zanzibar time and make this my base in the future. If it’s still available, just book it

My family and I had an absolutely perfect stay at IFA Beach Resort ! The hotel is beautifully maintained, ideally located in a calm and peaceful setting, and the reservation team took a good care of my requests to give us an incredible spot right by the sea. Falling asleep every night to the soothing sound of the waves was simply magical … But above all, what made our experience unforgettable was the team ! They are wonderful I would like especially to mention : Mr Ali who took care of our reservation and made sure we were nicely welcomed Said, Andrew and captain Haji who taught us swahili and took care of us always and made sure we were not missing anything and tailing their service to make us as comfortable as possible. Our superstar Sihaini and Ahmed feeding us with excellent dishes always with a big smile and a funny word to put us in a good mood ! They quickly felt like part of the family, always warm, attentive, and ready to share genuine moments of hospitality coming from the heart. We enjoyed many convivial and memorable times together, which made our stay even more special. Everything was flawless from out arrival until out departure, and we will definitely be coming back !

A very, very clean place at a beautifully designed place, be it rooms, restaurant/meeting area, pool and garden. Very attentive, charming, welcoming staff, helping out where ever needed. A very big plus is the profit of the stay going to a school for kids with varying disabilities at the compound. What a great work is done there and so much worth to support it!

Me and my family planned to stay here just a few nights but ended up staying 22 nights! The bad reviews this hotel had historically definitely deserves an update because we totally fell inlove with this hotel that had everything we could have asked for and more! Before we came here, we stayed in several other hotels that were much more expensive, with less facilities (TV, functioning Aircondition, breakfast buffet, wifi in the rooms, refrigerator, hot water in the showers etc.) and did not have a complex as large as this. In this hotel the rooms were big and clean, every room had wifi, aircondition and a refrigerator, the complex were safe with guards, the pool were superclean with a poolguy working day and night, the food was affordable and delicious, the staff were service oriented and totally fantastic! This is a very friendly hotel especially for families- it´s soo peaceful and we all had the time of our lifes! Our son had so much fun with the staff that invited him to play, run, laugh and feel free as a child. This made us parents feel safe and relaxed as well. We know alot of hotels that doesn´t appreciate kids which can be exhausting. We never had the feeling and urge to control our son, keep him silent and look for him 24/7 because the hotel were very safe and friendly. The feeling was instead that all the adults (the staff and we as parents) were a team, got together and helped eachother out. This experience was completely different in contrast to other hotels! Another great thing was the location. The hotel, which is right on the beach gives you plenty of choices, a range of food, activities and nearby excursions. Our favourite activity nearby was the white, crystal sandbank- you don´t want to miss this gem! In conclusion- this hotel is the reason why we definitely want to go back in the future. I loved my whole experience in Zanzibar but the cherry on top of my visit was my accommodation at both Kisiwa House in Stone Town and Kisiwa On The Beach. After a full day of exploring and adventure or even a long walk on the beach, it felt easy, comfortable and unimaginably beautiful to come “home” to rest. The staff are sweet, helpful and attentive (a lens into the Zanzibar Karibu culture). Our room was clean and always set up for us (morning and evening). We had the most beautiful stay in the most beautiful place I’ve gotten the privilege to explore. I’ll for sure be back and will be singing the highest praises.
