Everything was perfect. Clean room and bathroom. Wonderful view from a balcony. Very reasonable price. Food was delicious and ample. Nice staffs are always willing to help.

Very warm welcome from the lovely family! We were surprised with a delicious dinner, her kottu and dahl curry are big recommendations! The location was idyllic & the grounds beautiful. The rooms were comfortable & suited our family of 9. It was a good place to relax.The food served was excellent & the staff very helpful & friendly. Would love to return for a longer stay.

The bel view is comfortable if you take the most expensive rooms. Mohamed is very welcoming. The weather was pouring rain and we asked if we could prepare a meal in the family kitchen, which he accepted with his big smile. The bel View is 7 minutes from the train station and the center. Compared to Ella, everything is much cheaper (fare, meals...). The Pekoe Trail passes through Haputale, which allows you to make excursions on both sides. If you go down to the south coast, regular buses to Wellawaya (1 hour 30 of pretty road) then change buses (direct bus to Tissa number 99.6 - duration: 3 hours). Direction Ella: train or bus, duration 1 hour.

Excellent location a short walk from train and bus station, lots of charm lovely gardens, both vegetable plots for the kitchen that you can walk round and the formal oasis at the front. I have stayed here twice, years apart and look to do so again.

Excellent location in the woodland, with a wonderful garden and natural swim pool in the river close by. No noise during the night, morning wake up with birds song. The structure is very well done and clean, the house keeper Kaliray has prepared excellent food, thanks!

From the moment of check in to check out, I had a wonderful stay at orient hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and professional and the food was delicious. Special mention must be made to the GM Mr. Chandima who was always on the scene and attentive to our needs. We were also provided with a Trek to Ella Rock accompanied by hotel staff and a packed hotel lunch which was an incredible experience I would highly recommend. Overall was a great visit and will definitely be staying here again next time I visit.

I can say it 1000 times that i cannot find a better host than Mr. Priyantha. He was always there for us giving all his best services. The property is little far but well maintained and mordern. It has game area and a good centralized sound system that works with your bluetooth. Lobby view is spectacular. Breakfast was amazing as compare to all our other stays. Tuk tuk is easily arranged by the host and was very economical getting the two way travel from the Ella market.

The hotel is very charming. Spectacular views. The room was very charming, made of wood and very much in keeping with the surroundings. The mattresses and pillows were top-quality. The guy who was in charge of hosting us and the breakfasts was also very nice. The hotel manager and owner is very friendly and helps with everything. And they offer very good prices. I was there with my two children, and our stay was great. T'he hotel owner recommended a Drive to us. A young man who was charming and drove extremely well. He made us feel very safe traveling with him.
