The personnel were excellent and most helpful. The breakfast was fresh and ample portions in a quiet environment. The upgraded room was fantastic - just be aware that our bedroom was up a flight of stairs so guests should be aware if they have issues with walking. Super gardens and very quiet. Would be an excellent location for a celebration (Wedding/Family gathering).

With a great location just 1 km from the A34 and 1.5 km from Newbury town centre, the hotel has been refurbished to reflect its 17th-century heritage.
