I liked that this place was in town and normally walking distance to downtown, but bridge construction prevented it from being walking distance when I stayed there.

the room was cold and nor clean. The drawers were dirty, it was a smell of marihuana in the hallway. There was almost nothing for breakfast - no jam, cheese or anything..The clerk told us that the shipment did nor arrive yet. This stay was not worth the money. I would like to have my money back.
Loved the old building and comfortable rooms. Also convenient location, within walking distance to restaurants & train station. Parking behind the building was a plus, but the entrance to the lot needs major work. We had a car with low clearance and was impossible to exit the parking lot without scraping the bottom of the car. There was also ample street parking in front of the building.

Cumberland is a great town that is just past its hey-day.
Cumberland is a great town that is just past its hey-day. While lacking in big city attractions, it has lots of small town charm. Be sure to stop by Curtis' Coney Island for a hot dog (or 3... they are small and delicious), Caporale's Italian Bakery for the best bread of your damn life (also highly recommend the pepperoni rolls) and D'Atri's Subs for lunch. Tap off your culinary Cumberland experience with a beer from Niners before you check out the views on Canal Place.

This property is getting threadbare.
This property is getting threadbare. The staff is nice enough and it was quiet despite being part of a truck stop. The rooms are cramped. The television offerings scant. The breakfast was ok, but the dining area was too small to accommodate all of the guests. Like all too many lodgings in the covid, post-covid world, it is over-priced.

Surrounded by beautiful mountains, Cumberland is full of history. I enjoyed walking through the old town, looking in the antique stores and simply enjoying the architecture of the old brick buildings. The casino which is close by is clean and lots of fun. Enjoyed a nice walk along their beautiful lake.

Being from NYC, we expected Cumberland to be quiet and slower-paced. While the city was both those things, there were still plenty of places to eat, fascinating historical sites to see, and tons of history to the area.
We ate at "The Crabby Pig", "Texas Grillhouse" and "Puccini's". Each restaurant not only had great food, but the staff were super accommodating.
Getting around town was easy, as everything is nearby (but a car is necessary for the more out-of-the-way spots.

Cumberland is a quaint city with warm people.
Cumberland is a quaint city with warm people. The shops are unique, family owned businesses. Summer is a bit warm to be walking around or at least our time there was. I would love to come back in the fall.
Location was perfect, so secluded and peaceful. Instructions that were provided on how to get there were well detailed making it easy to get there. It was just two of us so the size of the cabin was perfect for us. They provided us detailed instructions for everything in the cabin a few days upon arrival which helped! Downtown Cumberland is just a 10-15 minute drive away which is nice! If you are looking for a unique, peaceful, and off the beaten path place to stay, this is it.
Fantastic! 1000% better value than any hotel! No crazy people making crazy noises all night or banging on the ceiling. No pot heads everywhere. Multiple comfortable rooms and spaces throughout the house. Close proximity to places in town. Very well decorated and furnished. Great barbecue area. Balconies everywhere.
The people at the front desk were extremely helpful. The room was comfortable, and the price was really good. I ended up staying at the same hotel on my return, and even with a higher rate for that second night, I was happy with my stay mainly due to the helpfulness of the staff.
we used this as a stopover between Cincinnati and Philadelphia….it was surprisingly very good. This is better than some of the other hotels we stayed at which were rated higher! The breakfast is great…recommend this hotel if you are passing through or want to visit the local area.
The Dacha was unlike any place we've stayed. The artwork filled the walls with color. The continental breakfast was money-saving. The amenities were amazing. The beds were cozy and comfortable, and clean. The bathroom was super spacious! It's a Smart house and a wonderful stay!
Host did an exceptional job in updating this historic home--kitchen is well equipped & modern, as well as the tub/shower. The bedrooms/living area have retained the beautiful craftsmanship of the homes of that era.
There was no breakfast. Hotel is under construction. No vending or ice machine working on my floor
Restaurant/bar was closed due to construction. The hotel stunk don't know what the smell was
