Excellent Hotel! So beautiful. I know they are remodeling, but I hope they don't remodel too much and lose the beauty of this place. Penny was such a help at check in!! I needed a good night's sleep and I got it here. I went for a walk after breakfast! We will be back in a few months!!!

Fireside Lodge, hotel in Big Bear Lake

Located in Big Bear Lake, a 4-minute walk from Big Bear Marina, Fireside Lodge has accommodations with a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a tennis court and barbecue facilities.

I don't know what to say. The accommodations were awful. One of the towels was wet and had clearly been used. Bed was incredibly lumpy; I thought at first it was a waterbed. Sofa was worse. TVs are out of date, too small, and are mounted so close to that ceiling that one couldn't watch them comfortably. Toilet wouldn't flush. After thirty minutes in the room, we left for dinner and then drove home. The hotel is in a state of disrepair - inside and out, as is the parking lot.

We're coming back in Sept. and will definitely stay here again. The room we had was set up perfectly for our needs. the "kitchen" was set up with micro, fridge and sink with cupboard and a long counter. Just need a light under the overhead cabinet so you can see what you're doing would be nice. The breakfast bar was well stocked and had a good selection.

There were a couple of very attractive trails for biking which is one of the reasons we chose Big Bear. We also enjoyed strolling in Big Bear Village...some nice shops and a good variety of restaurants. Beware that the roads leading to Big Bear are very windy and some people choose to go much faster than the speed limit so I would suggest going only on slow traffic days and in good weather.

Charming place, the Village was a lovely place with many stores and restaurants. I advise to book restaurants in advance during the holidays because it gets full and it can be hard to find a place to eat. We ended up in a restaurant named "Sizzler" very late on Dec 24th, and it surprised us with very good steaks and shrimps plus good service.

I was there before the first snow. Not too crowded, not too empty. Just perfect, probably the last days of fall. It is magic if you like hiking, and looking for refuge in nature. Locals are extremely warm. For shoppers, there is an attractive shopping area.

Traveled to Big Bear to visit son.

Traveled to Big Bear to visit son. My stay at Lagonita Lodge was AWESOME, right on the Lake with lots of amenities! Off-Season price was very affordable for apartment/condo unit with FULL Kitchen and a Living Room with Fireplace!! Staff was friendly and very helpful. I was stranded at Lodge when my son experienced car trouble. NO UBER Services in off-season! NO RENTAL CAR AGENCIES in Big Bear!! Thank God there was a Friday Night Welcome Party that evening at the Lodge, with lots of FREE, delicious food and drinks; otherwise, I may have gone hungry, LOL! There are probably Grub Hub or Door Dash services, not sure! Employees Mike and Cindy (hope I have her name right, she was new), were wonderful and lots of fun to be around at events! Fantastic place for a Family Reunion or a Class Reunion. LOVED the fireplace and my second floor view of the lake! Not accustomed to driving mountain roads, scary! My negative feedback is there were no assigned parking spaces and we could never find an open spot, had to park on the street and walk!! The tub enclosure had MOLD. My son brought me Tilex, I sprayed tub ledge and some of the MOLD disappeared. The rest of the mold was caulked over and could not be cleaned!! Overall, a great place to stay! Dinner at AZTECA Mexican Grill was delicious and the SANGRIA was killer!! Best Sangria, lots of fruit!! LouEddie’s Pizza outside Big Bear in Sky Forest on State Hwy 18 is fantastic, pizza is scrumptious, great views on Rim of the World Highway, Scenic Overlook! Maggio’s in Big Bear had a wonderful Spinach Salad! Took day trip to Palm Springs to go on Aerial Tramway, what a thrill.

My wife and I had a great time taking a pontoon boat out of Hollaways Marina for a few hours and do some fishing and just relaxing on the boat. It was a short drive to Lake Arrowhead for the afternoon and we enjoyed going into the village to walk a little and sight seeing.

There were 3 levels in this lovely lake view condo - if stairs are an issue for you this probably isn’t the condo for you. The 1st floor and through the garage had a very sweet studio with a king size bed. It also had a small patio with a view of the lake. The 2nd floor was the living / kitchen / dining area (open concept). It had a small outside deck with a nice view of the lake and is where we obviously spent most of our time. The 3rd floor had a lovely master and ensuite with the best views of the lake. There was a 3rd bedroom and bath on the street side. The condo was nicely decorated and a relaxing atmosphere. We found the dishes, bedding, towels etc very nice quality for a rental. I actually brought my own towel due to past experiences at other condos - no need here. We loved the location… we walked to the Village every day for meals and popping in and out of stores. Best pancakes we found were at Teddy Bear Restaurant - just a short 5 minute walk. We walked to the marina and took a boat ride on the Big Bear Queen which was also very nice. The dishwasher was broken when we were there but for us was not an issue as there were only 4 of us and we only cooked 1 breakfast and ate out the other 5 days we were there which is what we love to do.

I was charge for a service that I didn't receive. Vacasa lies about their cabins saying in their web site that you can check in any time of the day or night, we make a last-minute reservation, and they said it was ok, once we got there, they said that we had to do check-in in an office by daytime, they said so after they charge me twice on my card. I have called them several times; text messaging and their answer is that suppose they refund me but is not reflected on my bank account. They are scamers per sure. Be really careful everyone.

Excellent location in the Village, with easy access to Big Bear Blvd. I extended my stay by one extra day, a Saturday. we loved everything! The design of the property was great with areas for gathering and eating, games, etc. The style of the cabins and the landscaping made everything so comfortable and peaceful. it felt like a secluded little community of cabins while being so close to town and everything in Big Bear.

Cosy clean cottages with the bare minimum of facilities - enough to get by comfortably for a week with most nights eating out. The one cabin we stayed in had Hulu, Disney+, and HBO max which was nice... I got the feeling it would be different for other cabins however.
