The room was very basic, but we didn't expect too much for the price. The extremely friendly and gracious staff, and delicious breakfast, made up for the somewhat cramped and old fashioned facilities.
Just 984 feet from the archaeological site of Olympia, Neda Hotel features free wireless internet access and a restaurant.

Great location (across the street from a yummy restaurant and walking distance to ancient site entrance).
Clean, but a bit dated.
Very nice breakfast room with a terrace and view. Variety of food options.
Offering an award-winning spa, a wide range of sports activities and gourmet dining outlets, the 5-star Olympian Village features luxurious accommodations with views of the hotel grounds or the Ionian...

The beach is amazing, the sea - very clean. It was great to have a private pool - kids loved it! The evening program (mini-disco for the kids and then showtime) was also very nice) The breakfast was yummy! And complementary fruit and tasty treats in the room - very kind) A fantastic Greek family getaway) The place is close to Ancient Olympia, which is truly fascinating!

A big old hotel that performs perfectly! I say old because you can find many details from older hotels there is a telephone in the bathroom....This doesn't ruin your stay it just makes you laugh. They had the most comfortable (a pretty ) robes. The reception was friendly and helpful and very efficient. We got a free upgrade without even asking for it. We received a full size bottle of wine complimentary, and we only stayed one night! We didn't try the buffet dinner, but the breakfast buffet had great variety. You could tell by the very polite and professional staff that we met at breakfast ,cleaning the rooms ... that this hotel is run well and their staff takes pride in their work.
Just 15 minutes walk away from the sacred site of Ancient Olympia, this charming hotel offers quality rooms, complete with orthopedic mattresses, for a comfortable stay in a peaceful area.

Hotel was very conveniently located in the village of Ancient Olympia; we could easily walk to the ancient site, museums, and restaurants/cafes within minutes. We were also able to park on the street next to the hotel. The hotel had a "homey" feeling. There was a nice spread for breakfast, and the hotel staff made some recommendations for restaurants for dinner. Nice breakfast area. Room had a balcony and a view of the church square.
Hotel Ilis is located at the entrance of the town of Ancient Olympia, approximately 656 feet from the center. The museum and the ancient stadium are 1.9 mi away.

Olympia is a large site, while very significant, it’s also a bit confusing to understand and is in some ways, underwhelming compared to other Greek sites. I wish we got the VR glasses that are rented to hep understand the site better as we walked through.

I didn’t realise just how important Olympia was, the first Olympic Games happened here, the ancient state of Greece was inaugurated here, some of the greatest sculpture ever made reside here. All set amongst the most beautiful landscape.

Obviously, the main reason to visit Olympia is fror the ancient ruins of the Stadium and surrounding artifacts. It is a full day to see everything. We didn't engage the audio guide, as it was a bit complicated with a pre-set-up and download. But I recommend going into the museum to see the model of the area as it was in use to more fully enjoy and identify the ruins. Walking under the arched tunnel into the stadium made the hair on my arms stand up - such an energy.

Olympia was quite a surprise for me.
Olympia was quite a surprise for me.
Considering its a small town it had all you could need.
The ancient archeological site is a must see for anyone interested in history and the museum is great also and a must see as well.
The town is cosy with everything walking distance and at night its something else with restaurants and bars and shops all lit up and vibrant plus wide tree lined streets that make it a pleasure to walk through.
I can definitely recommend it and maybe a stop over on the way to the Ionian islands.
Ohhh forgot to say that one of the nicest restaurants is Taverna Orestis where i had one of the nicest meals iv had in my 9 weeks in Greece i can highly recommend it.

One night stay is enough for visiting the Archeological Site and the Museums. The small the town has only two major streets, one with shady restaurants and the other with shops. You can fint not only the Olimpia museums but a small museum about Archimedes which is really worth to visit.
It is quite a long time to get to Olimpia from the direction of Corinth, but you can choose the slower route across the hills which hides lovely villages.

Olympia the site is amazing.
Olympia the site is amazing. It is a big site, so take a while to walk through. Olympia the town is very charming with lots af little shops and restaurants. Friendly people in the town, willing to engage in conversation
Very beautiful views from the hotel terrace on hilltop just 1 km up from town center. At arrival just after 12:00 got offered a drink while room was not ready (checkin at 15:00) but after drink I was able to enter my room in the nearby separate building. Walking down to Olympia offered some amazing sights and the site and museum are spectacular, especially the remains of the Zeus temple and the sculptures which stood on top of it. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious with fresh strawberries. The hall of the hotel shows Olympian artefacts.
Enormous room, plus large balcony with views over Olympia. Hotel also has good sized swimming pool which was most welcome at end of a long hot day of driving. Location is excellent - on hill overlooking the town - away from the town noise but still very short walk (about 5 minutes) into the main street and restaurant area. And good breakfast selection also.
Exceptionally warm greeting from Kostas. Very central location, hot showers, good coffee at the bakery nearby. Great idea to stay overnight and get an early start at museum and parks, especially in winter when closure is 3.30pm. So much to see and experience at the key sites. The gods favoured us with good weather and autumnal tones. Glad we visited!
We were very warmly received on our arrival by Damiani, who is very fluent in English. He gave us an excellent dinner recommendation and good suggestions to plan our visit to Delphi. The hotel has a groovy vibe and worth a stay. Ours was only one night, but we could have stayed for days. I loved the polished concrete floor in the room.
Good location with walking distance to centre. Parked immediately outside which was a bonus. The host recommended us to a restaurant called Hotel Europa Olympia which in our opinion was exceptional and we had the best food and service experience from dinning out every night in a variety of venues during our 45 day travel in Greece.
Nice place and very attentive helpful welcome person. Value for money is good. Spacious and facilities were more than expected. Short walk into town. Nearby market and shops convenient. Very nice town. Nice touch to leave a little number of goodies, crackers and secrets and such.
The hotel host earns "10" points, it was so nice "meet and greet " in hotel. Breakfast was very good and if you have not place where to sit inside you can sit near table in the yard, so nice. Hotel room is very simply but you have bathroom and bed, it is enough for traveler.
Amazing place to stay. Our host Costas was amazing and told us about Greek history in Olympia. The hotel is more like an apartment, and 3 blocks to the ancient site and museum. The hotel had every amenity you would want or need. My favorite place to stay in Greece so far
Wonderful hotel! The staff was so kind and the location was perfect for Olympia. The room was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff was extremely helpful in guiding us on where to go -- the map was especially helpful! We'll definitely be staying here again!
We found this hotel to be a great location for our visit to Olympia. The pool was wonderful after our long, hot day. The bathroom was updated with a very modern 4 way shower! We had our dinner at the restaurant. Selections were great and delicious entrees.
loved everything about this small hotel. Staff, facilities, pool, the swallows flying and the restaurant with a beautiful view.
located in no a small hamlet near Olympia, quiet, peaceful but close to Olympia if you want to spend evening there. lovely.
Spectacular view, the Garden Terrace restaurant is amongst olive trees with a view of the valley, room was modern and well appointed, staff was very accomodating. Breakfast buffet was expansive and delicious. Great location for sightseeing Olympia.
Comfy bed and cozy room, only around 10 minutes on foot from the best attractions in Ancient Olympia. Fully furnished room and kitchen and the possibility to park nearby in a safe area. The host was very kind as well.
Ideal location - a 5 minute walk from the town and 15 mins from the museums.
En-suite bathroom and balcony was a big plus.
Pool access nearby - although I didn’t visit.
The staff were friendly and hospitable.
Super friendly owners welcomed us to the town, to the hotel, offered advice for dining out, sights, etc. Quiet clean room within short walking distance to ancient Olympia. You won't find a better value for the $.
Very comfortable hotel with nice facilities and a very good breakfast. The hotel is located near shops and restaurants and also within walking distance of the archeological site.
Very nice location in the village center. Easy free parking nearby.
Cute balcony facing the city center.
Common kitchen with free bottle of water in the fridge.
The Mellia is located near Olympic Stadium, about a 10 minute walk as well as downtown with all the restaurants and shops. Also had parking on the property.
You get the entire house. Large spacious property. Nice rooftop balcony. Located 3 km from ancient Olympia. Much better value than staying in Olympia town.
