The staff was amazing. The girls up front, Helen, Deyci, Viviana, there were a couple other that I did not get their names but everyone was great. A guy that was there at night also and all the staff at breakfast as overwhelmed as they got were extremely kind and helpful. A/C was great to have, the city gets hot.

Honestly chicalyo is a perfect place to get away and have fun and drink and go to the beach, you will at first be shocked by the difference in how everything is that being the roads the food the people the culture but honestly everyone is so friendly and amazing and the food is absolutely perfect, the drinks are amazing. Everything is very cheap so it’s easy to spend 2000 dollars in 2 months. The only downside is it’s hot haha

Archeological wonders over 2000 years old! Several excellent museums and on-site excavations, with good guides. Desert heat, climate damage of storms affecting sites. Mechan Tours service made our trip the best.

Chiclayo is a really cool city with fantastic bars, restaurants and coffee shops. By far the best food scene we encountered in Peru outside Lima (out of five cities). Our favourites were Misha Coffee Lab, Tostao Cafe, Cuatro Once, and Pizzeria Venecia. Definitely worth taking a 20-minute taxi to Lambayeque for the world-class Royal Tombs of Sipan Museum. Uber is cheap and easy, and the airport is very efficient with a great range of domestic flights.

If you come to this region of the Peru, I recommend visiting the royal tumbes of sipan museum, but moreover, I highly recommmend visiting the actual tumbes, known as the Huaca Rajada of Chipan. This is where they found the majority of the ancient treasures and bodies of the former kings and elite in the tumbes and actually reconstructed what the tumbes looked like when they were first discovered by archeologists. It is incredible!

Chiclayo is a really frenetic but friendly place - it is not a tourist town for gringos! A little Spanish helps - we enjoyed going to the “witches market” where they sell traditional medicine of all types in the South west corner of the central market about 5 blocks from the plaza. The rest of the market is great fun too A narrow maze of goods - if you are claustrophobic don’t go! We went the next day to the Tombs of Sipan museum about 20 min away which was fascinating- our Hotel was kind enough to find us a driver to the Mancora area which was why we stopped in Chiclayo. Do not make a special trip here but If you are on your way north or south it is a good stop. Nice dinner at upscale cafe 900 restaurant and bar. Traffic is crazy in this town !

Wonderful city to eat!
Wonderful city to eat! All along the main avenue (Balta) there are must visit restaurants like Carpincho's where you would taste the best "cabro a la norteña". City Highly recommended to try out delicious food!
I've stayed in almost every place in town and this is one of the best. You get what you pay for - The restaurant is nice, the suites are of the quality you would expect of an international hotel brand, and the customer service is always polite and timely. There's usually someone who speaks English. Room service is obviously more expensive than what you would pay in a restaurant, but I thought it was reasonable. Location is dead central but the rooms are still quiet.
My stay at Hotel Solec Chiclayo was simply perfect. From the minute I walked I felt welcome. The hotel is clean and the room was huge. The brealfast was nice as well, but it was really the staff that made this hotel exceptional. had such a nice time at Hotel Solec that I decided the book a room at one of their hotels in Piura. Even though I have not finished my stay here yet, the level of service is yet again exceptional.
The view from the rooftop is amazing. We would spend every morning up there just taking in the unique beauty and bustle of Chiclayo. Ample space within the apartment. Everything felt secure and safe. In a newly developing part of town that can easily be accessed from all parts.
The best thing about this hotel is the localisation and the staff. Very helpful people, especially men who helped me with my enormous luggage. And woman at breakfasts – really nice, always smiling, you need to give her a raise because she does her job really well.
Good location in the center of Chiclayo, 5 min walk to the main center. The room I had was very big and bright, there was a TV with netflix, and the wifi worked well.
Breakfast was simple but good (scrambled eggs, bread and jam, fresh juice and coffee).
One of my favourite hotels in Peru! Wish they existed in all my destinations :) The family is super helpful, the place is clean and comfortable. Nice shampoo and soap, and Netflix in the room! Good breakfast too, and fast and well-priced laundry service.
The people are very kind and engaging, always making themselves available to help. The breakfast was good. The room is pretty basic but the location is perfect, in a walking only street of Chiclayo surrounded by all the conveniences.
Great hotel. Room was good with a comfy bed. The breakfast was nice. The pool was great for a dip after visiting Tucume pyramids. I could park my motorbike securely inside the front gate. Instant hot water in the shower.
Clean room ,great attention from staff, they’re very helpful . Walking distance to a plaza de Armas & others like a shopping center . Taxis services from the hotel very honest .
