Great location which was really close to the beach but not too busy and noisy. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we were able to leave a bag a few hours before the check in time. Room was very comfortable.

Beautiful hotel, friendly and extremely efficient staff ,handy parking, great breakfast, stunning room. A little out of town but that enabled a really enjoyable walk by the sea.

Ian the host was super friendly, nothing too much trouble and was very accommodating with my pet dog Pinto, even allowing him run around his garden… very good gratis continental breakfast selection.
I will return, as we were both made very welcome.

Fabulous location literally beach front. The house is stunning and extremely comfortable. There was one issue, which was sorted out immediately, which was great.
Was nice to reminisce over a previous stay years ago.

Margate like many other coastal towns suffers from a lack of investment and some of the oldest and most interesting properties are closed and boarded up.

Haven't visited Margete in over 20 years and was pleasantly surprised. The beach was lovely and sandy, with an actual sauna on the beach and some activities for kids, was nice to watch the yachts sailing around the little harbour, plenty of amusement arcades Nice little market in the old town, mainly craft/clothing items. Plenty of good places to eat/drink. Pete's fish and chips was lovely. Also ate at The Sundowners (LGBT) bar (which has a terrace overlooking the sea) and food was lovely there too! Margate is bustling with life and great for a day out or longer if you fancy!!

Didn’t like Margate as much as Ramsgate not many pubs there, the only decent place is the mechanical elephant other places were expensive bars which were not my scene no karaoke venues like Ramsgate, just like Guildford the rodboro buildings in the centre and very few pubs in a big town which are all spread out of the town instead of being in the centre, it’s one of those towns with more tea places and diners and less pubs in the towns, can’t beat my number one town Reading in Friar street.

Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays.
Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays. I visited the Turner gallery, shell grotto, crab museum. I didn't have time to see the caves. Great sunsets. Loads of places to eat. I would highly recommend the Bull's Head for Sunday lunch. Best roasties ever! The Olimpia Bakery does coffee and amazing cakes.

I loved the fact that Seaview was in the old town of Margate, directly opposite Turner Contemporary and beautiful beach. Useful information folder, recommending everything from places to eat drink, visit etc. Loads of free street parking, regular buses to surrounding areas. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, be that in restaurants, shops or the bus drivers. A wonderful experience!
Everything. A lovely 1920s hotel that gies out of its way to transport you back to that bygone era when charm and service were provided with ease. It is a living museum as well as a hotel and exploring its corridors and public rooms is a delghtful experience. If you are looking for a bland, stereotypical, modern hotel then the Walpole Bay is not for you. But if you yern for the "good old days" then give this hotel a try. You will not be disappointed.
The location of this property is excellent with fabulous views of the beach. The apartment was very clean and well equipped and had everything we needed. We were able to get the keys for one of the apartments from the lock box which was had the code to. The other code was obtained from the restaurant next door which was easy. We highly recommend and will stay again. Margate is a nice town and this apartment was in a great position.
There were several nice personal touches such as the fresh milk and water in the fridge, and a stick of Margate rock on the bed.
The apartment is compact but perfectly adequate for what I needed. The seaside themed decor made me feel like I was on holiday (even though I wasn't).
Kitchen was really well equipped. Bed was comfy and I had a great night's sleep which is unusual for me when I am away from home for work.
Wonderfully welcoming and helpful hosts Kim and Teresa, great breakfast, clean and tidy room and bathroom facilities, and also very quiet. Location can't be beaten if you're using Margate station as it's a minute away. A traditional seaside hotel of the type that is sadly disappearing in favour of anonymous chains.
The location is excellent to explore the interesting & quirky town of Margate. Two mins walk from Turner Contemporary.
Staff were genuine, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Hotel has modern and luxurious feel & atmosphere,
decor contemporary and rich, without being brash.
Would stay again.
The location was very convenient for walking into Margate. It's also very close to the bus stop that takes you to Broadstairs (which we needed). Check-in and out was easy, and the flat was very comfortable! Lots of thoughtful touches like a dog bed and book of local recommendations.
Great place for an overnight stay in Margate. The room was exceptionally clean and we had a nice sea view. Edz was very welcoming and the hotel is well located near the centre. I also liked the detail of the Jackie Collins table in the lounge :)
the history and quirkiness of this hotel makes it special. it's not for people who want super updated facilities obviously. but it has great charm, and the location is great especially during the summer when you can go down and swim.
The hotel was in a nice quiet area of town away from most of the holiday makers but still easy to get to the old town. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and a decent size.
what a stunning hotel amazing gorgeous gem in margate old town. beautiful room with a lovely bathroom. so comfy. the pantry on the 2nd floor was incredible. cake water cream eggs and crunchies perfect tough
superbly decorated and finished , everything you need for a short break !!!! decent furnishings , very clean and fresh ….. a great price . would pick this over any hotel Margate has to offer !!!!!!
Lovely hotel, recently renovated in center of Margate! The owners are so lovely and went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing stay. We will return whenever we come back to Margate.
Idiosyncratic and charming little hotel. Well-sited for the seafront and Old Town. Very close to the wonderful Margate Bookshop.
Paul was a helpful and friendly host.
Great location, just a mile way from the hustle and bustle of Margate. A little parade of shops is not far away if you need anything. Host were super friendly.
The Hotel is well located for Margate centre and the sea is a 10 minute walk away. The room is comfortable and a good sized bathroom. The bed was excellent.
