Our accommodations were ample, the breakfast excellent, and the staff very helpful. Would stay there again.
Small and peaceful, this hotel is a great place to relax and explore the sandy beaches of Costa Vicentina Natural Park. It offers an outdoor pool with a spacious sun deck.

Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Bathrooms are modern with nice showers. Staff were very helpful. Price was really reasonable and breakfast was included. We used this as a stop on the Fisherman’s Way.

Super welcoming host, good value and nice atmosphere. There was a reggae live music on Saturday which was cool. Overall nice stay and close to the beach.

We really loved to stay in Herdade Monte do Sol . We stayed for three weeks !
The apartment is big, the view is exceptional. Very calm and quiet, the air is fresh and amazing. In the night you hear the sound of frogs , so lovely. There are several peackocks, we so enjoyed their beauty....
We love birds, and so it was lovely for us to hear the birds twittering and singing all day long.
It was wintertime when we stayed here ( February) we were surprised to see how lush green was the whole place , we went for walks on the poperty, it is big ! and beautiful ! there were flowers everywhere, and flowering trees !
Hens and roosters , very healthy looking. Horses, goats , friendly dogs and cats. ( they did not come into the house , if you did not want them to )
The host family is very very friendly, they helped us with everything. ( for instance Sofia and Daniela arranged for a massage therapist, when one of us hurt their back. )
Sofia even offered to wash our laundry, very much appreciated!
Her partner ( I cant spell his name) gave us very good Portuguese wine to try...
Everyone was very caring.
Thank you so much !
We were served beautiful and rich breakfast to our apartment every morning.
The apartment was cleaned every day ! Fresh towels and bedding every few days....
Cleaner ladies very friendly and unintruive too..
And the bed is comfortable ( very important for me )
When my daughter's children came to visit us, they always made a lot of noise, but they were completely accepted.
It made our stay so relaxed . Thank you again !
I really really loved the view ... Even on the days when it was rainy and windy and cold . the view was so beautiful ....
Amazing sunsets to watch !
I would definitely recommend this beautiful place to everyone. And if we come back to this area, we will surely stay here again.

Aljezur is a great location to visit if you like nature, surfing, good food, a slower pace of life. I would recommend staying in Aljezur, getting a car to drive around to different beaches and villages where you can find good restaurants. In the evening, in Aljezur, always book ahead a table.

A magical small village with tiny streets and houses, nice restaurants The river is full of life, edpecially dozens of turtles sun bathing. the beaches are close and the castle above the city gives a nice overview although it is just a ruin.
nice massage at “em boas maos“ at the other side of the river in the new part of town.
there is also a nice walkway east of the castle directly below with benches to rest and look over the whole village and countryside.

We hope to return.
We hope to return. The presence of an active cultural life was important for us. We felt like we were in a town and region alive and not just a tourist setting.
By the way, asking these questions in English also, would be helpful.

What I liked is that it is truly a get away from the busier touristy parts of Portugal. What I didn't like is that google maps has its location for a national park located in the middle of a farm that has sand on the surrounding roads that are easy to get stuck in.

If you want to explore the west coast of Portugal Aljezur is a good choice for a stop over. We travelled from the south and beaches we visited on our way were spectacular. Going North this morning it was equally as good.
The person from the agency was very communicative and friendly. The villa is magnificent with beautiful views and is located at a short walk to the beach. It is very well equipped. There is lots of space for a great stay. The area has very beautiful beaches and countryside for great walks. There are shops in the village nearby (car is needed). Several restaurants are at walking distance. The neighbourhood is very calm. We would definitely come back! The airconditioning can be used for heating during the winter.
We did Fisherman's Trail and the location was perfect. A mini market was just 5 min down the hill and the big supermarket was 15min walk away. A lot of cafes on the main street, near the mini market.
We loved that it was in the historical part of the town, with the old castle just up the hill. It looked amazing at night with all the lights on.
The owner of the house was very responsive. Answer all of our questions right away.
We also loved the lemon tree outside the window, just across the tiny street.
We liked:
• The spaciousness of the place.
• The decor and style in main hotel building.
• Friendly attitudes of most staff
• They ordered us flowers 💐 when we asked.
• Surrounding nature is beautiful and perfect if you want away from civilization.
• Sauna high quality
• Lovely breakfasts
• Great fireplace in the bar 🍸 👏
• Really nice little boutique clothes shop.
• The Nepalese house keeping team are ace.
• Front of house staff are always ready to help.
This tiny and cosy house on a farm is a perfect choice for nature and animals lovers. There are donkeys, horses, dogs, huge grey pig, rabbits and cats there. Our 3-years old daughter was delighted to feed them apples and pet them. The landlady Caarina is super nice and helpful. The beaches nearby are breathtaking. We loved our stay there and definitely got some warm memories of the place.
A fairly modern hostel-type facility with a sister boutique hotel next door. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is tasty and plentiful, although the staff can get a bit swamped at peak hours. There is a also a bar downstairs with reasonable prices. The 'deluxe' rooms have amazing views of the sea.
The property fully met our expectations for a one night stay. The room was clean and spacious with a balcony. It was in a quiet location but you need a car to access it. There are plenty of restaurants near by and the breakfast provided was simple but was great.
An excellent view and a peaceful place, less than 5 minutes by car from the beach.
The staff was always eager to help us, very nice people with that great hospitality mindset we aim to see around these parts of Portugal.
Perfect venue for weekend getaways.
Amazing pool and perfect stay to chill and relax, nearby several spot in the area, as Aljezur, Lagos and Monchique.
The host and the staff are really good and pleasant people, we enjoyed their company and everything we need was available.
One of the best places to stay with the family in the SW of Portugal. Mr Peres and his wife are always nice and helpful. The place his quiet and cozy. Good value for money.
Everything - this remote hotel in a national park was amazing! brand new, amazing rooms with balconies, an enormous and scenic pool and hiking trails all around.
AMAZING! One of the best Hostels you can find in the area, or even in Portugal. Staff is incredibly helpful and nice. Location, view, cleanliness. It’s perfect.
Beautiful house, amazing atmosphere. Ludo the host was super friendly and helpful. Best hostel near Aljezur and Arifanna. Totally would come back again.
