Shopping is good, however the parking in the Main Street was terrible. Cars parked over lines taking up 2 spots, main travelling a very slow pace just is case someone might be moving out and they can get a car park, this then causes traffic jams with cars lined up for 2 blocks, And being caught over intersections when lights change.
Sport complex (hockey fields) amazing, was a great place to see, such a pity other towns don’t have similar complexes.

When on the lookout excellent view with a lovely sunny day and blue sky and, a nice cool breeze, this lookout had some picnic tables available with walking trails maybe next time.
Enjoyed the Saturday markets while we were there, interesting from locally made products to homemade cakes etc.

As we visit Tamworth annually to play darts, we mostly see the inside of the club where the tournament is held. The town is very quaint and it's a really country and western town. Tamworth has some nice parks and walking tracks which are great.
Nice restaurants are situated in the town and its great to be able to sit a look at the people passing by

The only good thing to come out of Tamworth is any road leading away! The one good thing is the Dragon Palace restaurant. It's very good that's why it's busy. What has happened to the motels? We were booked at
Tamworth Lodge Motel which we couldn't stay at, it's filthy! Then we went to the Town and Country Motor Inn and the pillows smelled of sweat. Hungry Jacks gets a serve for failing to do there job too.

Tamworth calls itself the Country Music Capital of Australia...
Tamworth calls itself the Country Music Capital of Australia, this is backed up by the Australian Country Music Hall Of Fame, and the Big Golden Guitar monument/motel. One thing about the Hall of Fame is it does close at 4.00pm, and as I have never arrived in Tamworth before this time, I truthfully cannot say very much about it. It's still on my bucket list.
It's a beautiful city, nestled in the Great Dividing Range at a height of about 500 meters, so it does get a bit chilly in winter, (Armidale, 100k+ to the North of Tamworth has been known to get snow when the weather gets very cold) so take extra woollies in the winter if you go then.
Tamworth Hotel is exactly what you’d expect in a pub stay. It oozes history. My room was simple, clean & comfortable. The sink and TV were a bonus. Shared bathrooms had been updated in neat Deco style. I wasn’t disturbed by any bar noise. Twas an easy stroll to CBD and train station. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks Team.
Great hotel, good parking and the rooms was very spacious and comfortable. Room was very clean and very friendly staff. Walking distance to some restaurants and pubs. A great place to stop overnight in Tamworth without breaking the budget!
Fabulous location - right in the Main Street. Such a gorgeous boutique hotel. Loved everything about it. We at at the restaurant the food was delicious. Cocktails were fab, decor gorgeous, staff wonderful. Would highly recommend.
Very comfortable accommodation in a good location with an easy driving distance to Tamworth CBD. The house was spacious, well equipped and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Off street parking was available.
I have a bad back and get anxious staying at motels but this is the second time I have stayed here on my trips to Tamworth and the bed is comfy, the room is tidy and the spa bath is spacious and great!
Longyard hotel is right next door. And most importantly, they don’t cancel your booking on the day of arrival like they do at the shitty Amberoo apartments in Tamworth.
Breakfast was huge and very good value. the room was spotless and very comfortable. the manager was very friendly and recommended a great local pub for dinner.
Lovely hotel. Close to the centre of town. Great food in the restaurant. We had a fabulous time. Highly recommend a visit to Tamworth as a weekend getaway.
