Very nice, even during the winter months if you are okay with cooler temperatures, grey skies and rainy weather. The beach and town areas are clean. Various wildlife and sea life can be viewed with binoculars with lots of trails and points of interest being nearby or a short drive away. Qualicum area is nice to visit during the winter as the shoulder season is not busy with tourists.

This is a nice village that still has a small town feel.
This is a nice village that still has a small town feel. Lots of retirees. A nice local market that runs year round. Beautiful views out to the ocean. Great walking town, as the road is not steep up to the actual town from the beach.

We like QB very much!
We like QB very much! It is the perfect vacation place - small enough to be quaint, but big enough to have everything you want!
Nice places to eat, beautiful downtown, beach, trails, museum, and a golf course.

Stayed overnight only.
Stayed overnight only. Didn’t have time to explore and discover Qualicum Beach. Our stay at the Sand Pebbles Inn was great. Old hotel and outdated room with microwave, small fridge, big table and chairs, big tv, small renovated bathroom with great big shower, nicely folded and presented towels, nice shower toiletry, great big balcony. Fantastic views from our room. Would stay again.

Beautiful miles of beach, peaceful away from the main road that goes along the beach (cars, motorcycles, big trucks go by loudly 24/7). Small town easy to get around, quaint shops, nice cafes, good choice of restaurants (sushi esp). Very friendly people everywhere, all with a relaxed vibe. Not the place to party or for night-life but not a boring family/older vibe either. Grab a lounger, sit back, take a deep breath, smell the ocean and RELAX.

The rooms were very nice , but ..... we stayed on a sun and mon. Sun eve there were people there ,but after that. There was no one around. Couldn't get ice , or assistance.
Not what I was expecting for 300. Dollars a night.
Sorry. But could have an ice machine and a machine for snacks.
Thanks.
The hotel is right on the beach and we had a large second floor balcony, so lovely view. The rooms have been upgraded and are clean, bright and comfortable. When we booked our room, we were warned that the sea wall had been damaged and we would not have direct access to the beach. However, there is access about 1 minute (walking) up the road, so it was not inconvenient for us. The beach and the sidewalk along it are beautiful in that area. The woman who checked us in was very nice and helpful.
For some who remember 1950's motels, the photos were somewhat reminiscent of those rooms, partly because of the layout and partly because of the bedspreads. If this was a 1950's motel, it has been beautifully renovated. Everything from the paint to the furniture and the bathrooms looks very new.
We were to stay 3 nights in one room and 1 night in another. When we arrived, we were told that we could stay in our original room for 2 nights and in the best room for the other 2. Very nice upgrade!
Beyond expectation. It looks like fairy tale house where generous and beautiful grand mom and dad live. With all the best the hosts prepared rooms, facilities and Canadian taste breakfast. Our colleagues are writing this great and lovely experiences, especially learning experience of Canadian pancake making on their facebooks. It was a real, authentic cultural learning from the lovely hosts. Thank you! and see you soon!
Everything was top quality and amazing value for price. Best breakfast ever and wonderful conversations with hosts. Room and bed great, coffee machine and small fridge in room. Recent renovation in beautiful home with pool. Location beside qualicum beach. They made us reservations at a great restaurant for dinner. Our entire stay was special adding a great memory to our trip to Vancouver island. Highly recommend.
Nestled away in the quiet of a beautiful forest, I felt peace and relaxation like no other. Having spent the day with the busyness of a full day in Parksville, it was well worth getting away to this “Cottage “. A large one bedroom suite that is fully equipped and it’s like you’re on your own. I would definitely go back there and one recommended highly to anybody in the Parksville Qualicum Beach area.
Absolutely loved staying here, nestled away in the mountain behind Qualicum Beach, the view of the valley and water was spectacular, the hot tub and hammocks created the perfect relaxing retreat and we had an amazing night sleep in the super comfy king size bed. The host was super friendly and communicative and helped make this experience a great one!
No laundry available . Bathroom very small! Room small but pleasant enough ! Decorating very old fashioned ! View Amazing!

Great location of hotel !
We travelled with a four-year-old so the courtyard and beach access were fabulous. The room was huge and the balcony was such a bonus, and it was quite possibly the cleanest hotel room I’ve ever seen. Not a speck of dust anywhere! We stayed in four hotels over the past week and this was our favourite. We’ll absolutely be back.
The location was perfect for visiting this part of the coastline as well as being in close proximity to the village of Qualicum Beach.
We greatly enjoyed chatting with the hosts who gave us lots of useful local knowledge and tips on how to take advantage of all the things available close by.
Room was ready earlier and the lady who greeted me was very pleasant; free wifi, comfortable bed and walking distance to a good cafe (in a nearby motel) across from the beach (*sharing plates for the happy hour and a **seafood dinner) or go a bit further to the town - great boutiques.
Amazing location and view, very well appointed room. Lots of bathroom toiletries/bath rubs/sleepers. The restaurant in the hotel is very good with excellent service. Friendly staff. Has a small pool and hot tub
Convenient location across from the beach; not a luxury hotel but if you are looking for a clean, comfortable , spacious place to stay with your family, this place is good value for money and we would go again.
The staff, the food- best filet mignon I’ve ever had. It felt like we were in and old European hotel. It even had keys instead of fobs :) The hotel looks onto the golf course so the view is nice.
Excellent breakfast choices, and very well prepared using the freshest ingredients. excellent location close to beaches and the Qualicum Beach "high-street".
