Hotel Mepas, hotel in Mostar

Offering free access to an indoor pool and a spa and wellness centre, Hotel Mepas is located in Mostar, in the very centre of town.

The hotel is perfect, location, facilities, rooms, staff, everything is just perfect. The rooms are on the top floors of the building where the shopping center is also located, it has an underground garage where it is clearly marked where the seats are for hotel guests, the old town is about 15 minutes' walk from the hotel, so if you choose Mostar to stay for that money, it will be you will rarely be able to stay in a 5* hotel anywhere in Europe.

Mostar is a captivating city that embodies a unique blend of historical gravitas and scenic charm, making it a must-visit destination in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Nestled along the picturesque Neretva River, the city is famed for its iconic Stari Most (Old Bridge), a stunning example of Islamic architecture in the Balkans and a UNESCO World Heritage site. This historic bridge, beautifully reconstructed after the war, provides a symbolic connection between the city's diverse cultural and religious communities. Visitors can explore the cobbled streets of the Old Bazaar, where traditional craft shops and quaint cafes offer a taste of local life and hospitality. The Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque is another highlight, offering panoramic views of the city from its minaret. Also FORTICA is the best place to see Mostar from the hill, highly recommend take taxi 1km per Kilometre… ask driver for pick up later or walk down. Mostar also serves as a gateway to explore the region's natural beauty. Nearby attractions include the emerald waters of the Kravica Waterfall and the serene Blagaj Tekija, a Dervish monastery nestled against a cliff beside the Buna River, which is perfect for a peaceful afternoon outing and Pocitelj ahistorical place! With its rich history, stunning architecture, and warm, welcoming atmosphere, Mostar is truly a jewel worth exploring. Each corner of the city offers new delights and a chance to step back in time while enjoying the vibrant local culture. Best place to eat and value for money: - Cernica chevabdzinca, (a hidden gem) mix grill platter 40km in Cernica street, also Rodjeni Pie shop. - Best Pizza (cappricioza my fav) in Nidze Veze in Boulevar opposite the Catholic church. - Asdzinica Saraj by the Karadzozbeg Mosque, best to eat early between 10-12am, best traditional food reasonable prices Malta - outside Mostar on the way to Blagaj fabulous food reasonable priced

Even in spring, the famous bridge attracts an awful lot of tourists in the day and early evening, so do bear this in mind and be patient. However it is definitely worth seeing (best from the river) and if the weather is good do wait for the locals jumping off the bridge - this takes place about every 30-minutes. If you're on the bridge the divers may ask if can make a contribution. don't overlook the rest of the town and you can still see traces of the civil war if you walk further out. Sadly, someone removed the Bruce Lee statue, only the pedestal remains. Highly recommend train journey between Mostar and Sarajevo.

This is a great small town with lots of things to do, whether it is exploring the old town or hiking on of the several hills nearby. The food is amazing and affordable. And one of the hills, Fortica, has a great observation deck and a zipline. But keep in mind, that lots of places are closed on Sundays.

The location of the hostel is perfect, near the bus and the train station and the old town. When I arrived the room and the bathroom are very clean and smell good. The bed is confortable, the WiFi and the AC work very well, there are closets and lockers. The owners are polite and nice. A city map is offert and laundry is possible. There is a patio to chill and meet people. Adi orgnize a tour for some places in Mostar wich is good opportunity to know the city in one day and hear a story of a Bosnian people during the war.

Free parking is available in the hotel courtyard. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is lovely and you shouldn't miss the local character of delicious Bosnian coffee. There is a private parking. Our room was very spacious, and very very clean :) Breakfast was delicious. The owner and his family were very kind and helpful with giving advices about attractions around Mostar. Thank you for your hospitality! We will come back there in future for 100%..

Villa Botticelli was one of the highlights of our trip to Bosnia. It’s in a great location in Mostar — just a short walk to the busy main strip, but it feels so peaceful oasis. We loved sitting on the terrace when we weren’t exploring the town. The innkeeper was great, too. She was very friendly and helpful and gave us some good tips on restaurants and things to see in town. And she let us try her homemade rakjia, too!
