It was a fabulously comfortable place to stay… standard of accommodation and comfort absolutely top class. It would be nice to have a slightly healthier breakfast but what I had was fab!!!

We stayed here for one night as a stopover. The room had everything we needed and was clean. We had a meal in the pub which was lovely and good value for money. There was a good selection of drinks on offer too. The staff were great and very accomodating.

Location, service, accommodation and food were all amazing.
We would definitely come back, but for longer as we only had a 2 night stopover.

Very nice place to stay, great location, very comfy bed, friendly and helpful staff and a clean place. Breakfast was amazing and very tasty and freshly cooked!
Lovely area in Cotswolds. Easy to visit Stroud for our concert and following day for Farmers Market - 5 miles. Good area for walking. Visited Woodchester Mansion. Just be aware although supposedly National Trust only the grounds and £1 off for members after long walk downhill! The Frocester is a good lively pub with excellent food, very popular.

Dreadful ! This property misrepresented itself on this site.
Dreadful ! This property misrepresented itself on this site. No staff present at any stage so no evening restaurant and no breakfast despite having paid for breakfast. Proprietor has not responded to several requests from me and from Booking.com for a refund.

Stayed for one night for work to visit one of the new industrial units next to the M5. This hotel was less than 10 minutes away so perfect for what I needed. 2 of my colleagues had stayed here a few weeks before and recommended the place.
The hotel itself was in a quiet village in a pretty setting. This was ideal to sit in the beer garden enjoying the sunshine in peace.
I had dinner in the bar which was very good quality. the 2 gents working that evening were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to help.
The room was of a good size, with a large comfortable bed. The en-suite bathroom was also a good size.
I would definitely stay again next time I'm in the area. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

A lovely and well presented Inn. The bar was very popular.
A lovely and well presented Inn. The bar was very popular. The restaurant roomy and attractive with an excellent and varied menu. Service in all areas professional and attentive. Rooms exceeded expectations very comfortable with everything you could wish for including fresh milk in the fridge Only downside is the proximity to the road and single glazing but this is a traditional building and that is part of the charm.

The property is not actually in Stonehouse,it is in Eastington. The only places in Eastington were a pub and a coop store. We had to travel to Stonehouse for food. It was okay for 1 night but no longer.

Restaurant food and bar food was excellent and well priced, bar and management staff were very friendly
Cheese select was amazing
Room was well presented with dressing gown and slippers and also included fridge with fresh milk and water, coffee and tea including sugar was well labeled locally
Room became very warm during night and was not controllable and car parking needs to be looked at as very hard to park during the day as no marked parking bays and everyone parked anywhere they could find
Location was really good. We travelled over as a family with the dog. Two of us went to the football stadium for an away game and my wife stayed at the loft and took the dog for a walk. There are walking spots straight out the back so no need to drive anywhere.
The beds were super comfortable, we all slept really well (best bed I have slept in at a hotel/B&B) and felt as though you were staying at home which we really liked. Sara was very good and set up the room really nicely.
The pub and hotel were just brilliant. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The food was delicious and good value. The room was spacious, clean and tidy and came with a coffee machine and nice toiletries. The bed was also very comfy. We were unable to stay for breakfast because we had an early start so the kitchen provided us with a plate of breakfast items to have, which was so helpful. Would stay again and will definitely return for another meal.
I loved the peaceful, rural country setting. The room was spotless and comfortable. The hosts are friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The breakfast was hearty and great value for money. The menu offered a number of delicious options and I was more than happy to eat there. This is an affordable, family friendly hotel and I highly recommend it to travelers who are looking for an authentic British experience!
Clean, well equipped room with comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. the location is ideal with easy access from M5, a beautiful village 2 mins from Coaley Peak.
We expected a simple hotel stay in a country pub, we got a blooming splendid hotel stay in a country pub.
For the price, we're more than happy and will return again.
A typical country hotel and pub, full of character whose staff went that extra mile to ensure you had a great stay. Ideal location to break up the journey to Devon or beyond. Food was great and very reasonably priced.😁
Great location if you are a train spotter.
You need to know it is not in Stonehouse, it is in Kings Stanley about 3km away. They are different places. It is a lively pub with simple ensuite rooms and a do it yourself breakfast. Nice big bathroom but no soap provided, luckily I brought my own.
The grounds and the hotel was lovely - we ended up in the honeymoon suite after our wedding and that was wonderful. Beautiful views and we would definitely return next year for a relaxing weekend break.
Hotel is lovely, wonderful rooms and really clean. Breakfast was good, good wifi! We used this as a base for the races and was super easy to get into Cheltenham with Colin Groves taxi service.
We enjoyed staying at this hotel, the staff was nice and attentive and we were pleased to find out that the food was very good. It was quiet although our room was facing the road.
Very cute little hotel, were very flexible about us arriving later in the evening and still keeping the restaurant open for us. Bed was very comfy, area was quiet for sleeping!
after all reviews, I decided to book this hotel for weekend away with my lovely partner. unfortunately everything was ruined from minutes we stepped into this place.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel with a comfortable room, fantastic food and friendly staff. It was a real find having stopped for an overnight on route south.
