Nice hotel in a great location. Pool area is good (pool bar was closed but expected this as not high season) lots of beds and nice vibe at the pool. One block is right on the beach with an (almost) private beach for hotel occupants. Overall, nice hotel, staff friendly and helpful and great location.

One of the best Algarve resorts, Albufeira has wonderful beaches, turquoise waters and the dramatic, rocky coastline that makes this part of Portugal so special.
Naturally, life here is all about sun, sand and sea. The most popular Albufeira beach is Fisherman’s Beach and you can still see locals bringing in the fishing boats every morning - if you’re up early enough, that is. Tunnel Beach is accessed through an opening in the cliff, and both offer a variety of watersports.
Further up the coast is Albufeira Marina, from where sightseeing boat trips depart, while east of the town is the 9-hole Balaia golf course. On the way here, you pass Arias de Sao João, home to The Strip where the best bars and clubs are found, many staying open until the early hours.
The Old Town of Albufeira is more peaceful, and its cobbled streets house Moorish buildings and some great restaurants serving fresh fish. If you fancy a day trip from Albufeira, the 12th-century remains of Moorish Almoáda Castle in Paderne can be visited for free.
The town is around 45 minutes’ drive from Faro Airport and there is a fantastic range of beach resorts, small B&Bs and Albufeira apartments on Booking.com.

Albufeira is a great place to visit as its spread out and has a few different areas to go and see: The old town, strip, marina etc all with bars, restaurants and something going on. On this visit the old town was quite lively with lots of stag and hen doo's which was good to watch! Still a friendly atmosphere down there albeit a bit lively!

Definitely worth a visit.
Definitely worth a visit. The old town especially is very beautiful, but be prepared for lots of hills! Plenty of places to eat and drink, great atmosphere, lots to see and do. Make sure you take a boat trip to the caves, well worth it.

Good place for various types of eating from very expensive to cheap and cheerful. Good walking shoes needed as there are lots of steps, slopes and much going up and down when moving about during a visit to the "Old Town" areas. Not good for wheelchair users and those with mobility issues.

The hotel rooms are in desperate need of renovation.
The hotel rooms are in desperate need of renovation. I didn’t even have a working electrical plug in the bathroom, there’s no full length mirror in the room and the hallway was not vacuumed on a regular basis. They rely heavily on the beach and pool areas otherwise I can’t imagine anyone wanting to stay here.

Didnt like the area at all, its only fit for groups of lads and maybe girls, but if I was a woman I wouldnt feel safe there.
The streets are horrendous with bricks and loose rubble evrywhere, it looks completly run down, nothing attractive about it at all.
Very neat and clean apartment. Quiet neighbourhood (at least in March). Beautiful views-you can see the whole Albufeira, and the ocean, from both sides of the house. You can see the sun in the morning from your balcony, and the sunset from the public corridor on your doorstep. The house has everything you need. It's 10-15min. walk to the old town and the beach. And the best part -lovely landlady Idàlia. Super reliable and welcoming, made me feel at ease and resolved any issues very quickly. Would stay again.
Thank you for the nice accommodation in the heart of the old town of Albufeira. We had everything we needed in the room. The location of the apartment is perfect, the sea is right next to it. And of course the view is absolutely amazing. Carlos was incredibly helpful and drove to save me from the balcony when I was locked out, and the woman from the hotel staff was wonderfully, friendly, funny and very helpful.
It was also fun to watch movies, because they had good channels there!
All of the facilities were in excellent condition and very well presented. Staff were very friendly and the entertainment was tip top.
Although the hotel is far away from the centre of Albufeira old town there is a shuttle bus which is free of charge which runs multiple times a day from the hotel.
I also thought the hotel was situated in a beautiful vista spot with some great walks along the cliff.
Everything was perfect, Hotel was clean, nice rooms, bed was comfortable, lovely Staff, nice swimming pool on roof top with view of the sea & a bar for few drinks, perfect location 5min walk to the strip, 10 min drive to old town, lots of bars & restaurants, Beaches close by, taxis are also cheap get most places for less than 10 euros, I would give this hotel 5*, i would definitely go back
Huge amount of space for the value.
my single room included a separate kitchen and living room, with furnished patio overlooking the pool. it’s literally a one-bedroom apartment. immaculately clean and the location can’t be beat for the value. 6 minute walk downhill to the sea shore, from there you can walk to old town Albufeira along the shoreline. little markets right next door.
We were upgraded to Cerro do Mar, which is where you're supposed to check in when you stay at Silmar. The hotel has very nice facilities (pools, spa, restaurant, ...), although we didn't use any because we just went back to the hotel to sleep at night. The view from our room was great, 6th floor facing towards the Albufeira old town. Facilities and rooms are clean and nice.
I loved everything about this special place! The service, the staff, the beautifully thought out shared courtyard. You feel like you are in your own little world at this hotel. I LOVED the breakfast with a touch of champagne to start your day! It's also the best location you can find in Albufeira in the middle of old town and in walking distance to the main beach.
The location is next to unbeatable. 2 minutes to the beach and under 10 mins to old town Albufeira. Staying during shoulder season for €60 a night was great too. Beds were nothing to complain about either and the terrace was GREAT. wish we had the ocean view but having a street terrace was just fine too. The rooms were cleaned daily so that was nice.
Firstly the location and the view from the taras is amazing. Old town and beach just front of you. There was everything we needed in the apartment. And considering all places that we stayed in Algarve this apartment was best and cheapest. Thats why we thought possibly some surprises waiting for us but nothing negative.
Great hotel but located in an overcrowded town that has all but completely lost its charm due to overdevelopment. If you like the idea of staying in a theme park, you might like Albuferia. Otherwise seek the more traditional areas of Portugal, such as the Gold Coast or North of Lisbon.
The location is perfect, near to the old town , close to supermarkets and restaurants .
The WiFi in the hotel is good, decent pool area and lovely friendly staff and very helpful front door girl Rita .
The swimming pool was nice.
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and nice breakfast. We stayed in room 212 and it had a really nice beach view and looked out towards old town. Liked it so much we stayed an extra night and wished we could have stayed longer.
The pool area was lovely! The wait staff around the pool area were good too! The cocktails were well made but pricey for Portugal ! The entrance of the hotel was fair ! The Hotel was spotless and comfortable
Hotel was very fancy, great location in Albufeira, fantastic free bus service to old town, entertainment staff was excellent, very nice facilities, especially the pool bar, water slides and spa
Guilherme was a great host.
Really nice decor, nice breakfast, nice terrace and great location just in Albufeira old town center
Also if you need a Taxi the hotel provides the contact
This hotel is very central in the old town and on the beach.
It is very modern and the food is very good too.
The room sizes are very generous with staff very helpful.
Great location, close to all the bars/restaurants in the old town, but far enough to not have all the noise. Bonus: free parking in front of the property.
The location is perfect mid way between the Old Town and The Strip....The staff are amazing the best staff in any hotel /apartment I have ever stayed in.
