The bed is very comfortable, the furniture is very good, the kitchen utensils, tableware and electrical appliances are complete, and it feels great to cook while looking at the mountain view. You only need to bring clothes, food and shoes to move in, thoughtful, great.

They can use more attention to detail when cleaning the unit. I felt I had to wipe down things down. The mattress was comfortable. The unit was decorated wonderfully and carpet seemed new. The toiletries were great and the shower had endless hot water with great water flow.

The Glen House is superbly situated, with amazing views in all directions. We loved the outdoor areas, with the fire pit and the bar area with high ceilings and fabulous views. Our room was very spacious, again with great views and very well appointed. We also enjoyed the history of the building shown in pictures and information dotted around. The food was good, although on the pricey side.

The owner could not have been more helpful when we checked in and provided excellent advice on where to eat locally. Our room was set out well, there was free use of numerous gas BBQ's on-site and we were far enough away from the highway for it not to have been a noise issue.
Although not advertised, a basic breakfast is offered free of charge, which was enough to get us on our way in the morning.
The hotel is Iconic and truly pretty. The room we had was dirty upon arrival, not something we expected for a 300 a night room in such a beautiful location. Something is off. Five star hotels should be near perfect. I've stayed in better managed Best Westerns.

The building and grounds are stunning.
The building and grounds are stunning. The food is great and most hotel amenities are fabulous. Just a few challenges…indoor hot tub was filthy…our sink in the room did not drain and was never fixed, and the attendant in the jewelry store never offered to help me but rather stayed on the phone the entire time I was in there talking about the money that was skimmed from the $15,000 he had in a safe while on vacation. It was inappropriate and rude in my opinion. Also, no one answered the front desk when I called.
The golf course is amazing! Lots of goose poop but that probably can’t be helped.

We wanted to stay another evening and couldn't add that on at the front desk. They advised us to call to make reservation.
We ended up staying 2 extra nights as my husband became ill and was transported via ambulance to hospital. Staff at hotel, especially emt were incredibly helpful.
Having said all of that, the room was very small, but pleasant and comfortable...I would have bought the pillow it was so comfortable. There was very poor communication re reservations for dinner. We weren't aware that we needed to do that prior to arriving and had a lot of anxiety about if we were going to be able to dine.
My husband is 91 yrs old and we have traveled extensively, but needed to be closer to home due to health issues so we looked forward to a nice stay Nd great meals. Food, was wonderful...but as i said, it was difficult to make reservations at the nicer restaurants...and we were offered 9 pm reservations. My husband couldnt possibly wait that long for dinner.
We really enjoyed our time there for the most part. And when my husband needed to go to the hospital, staff was so kind and supportive. We would love to return although the cost of the room was very high.
Also, there was a step going up to the bed which was really dangerous for my husband. And Because we couldn't talk directly with front desk about reservations, had I known about stair in room, I would have requested a handicap room.
We drove (I drove) 5 hours to the inn which is more than my limit. Again, when we arrived we were informed about need for dinner reservations and ended up waiting for a table in the bar downstairs.
Thank u for allowing me to provide feedback.

If you are in the area for hiking and bring your own food...
If you are in the area for hiking and bring your own food you're ok. It's hard to find a good restaurant that' serves healthy food and open at uncommon hours. Most of the restaurants close very early 2pm and 8-9pm. Especially during covid some are closed and menus are limited.
Hotels in the area are not that great
